Inaugural Moscow Beauty Week turns out to be a beautiful success story as over 170,000 visit

Over 450 brands exhibit their latest products

Over 170,000 attendees visited the inaugural Moscow Beauty Week held from December 9-12, 2023, at the Moscow Manege and other partner venues in the Russian capital.

One of the most significant events in the Russian beauty industry, Moscow Beauty Week 2023 saw over 450 global and Russian companies highlighting cosmetics, perfumery, skincare products, and healthy food products.

Among the exhibitors were 359 Russian manufacturers, 90 Russia-based distributors of international beauty brands, and 12 international companies from seven countries, including Kazakhstan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, and others.

Made in Moscow

Among the exhibiting Russian brands, 54 participated in Sergey Sobyanin’s Made in Moscow programme. A collective stand included 19 Russian companies; the rest were exhibited at individual stands.

A key highlight of Moscow Beauty Week 2023 was a buyers’ programme wherein representatives from major beauty trading platforms in India, Iran, and Kyrgyzstan were introduced to Russian beauty companies’ world-class products.

The international buyers appreciated the high quality of the Moscow Beauty Week 2023 organisation, including the calibre of the exhibiting Russian beauty brands.

Indian market rollout

Following fruitful business interactions at the exhibition, products from Russian Beauty Guru (RBG), Prosto, and Climt cosmetics will be available to consumers in stores owned by Godrej Group and Plum Goodness across India. Iranian cosmetics supplier Operamirut also talked with Russian companies Alpika, Geltek, Openface, and Emi shop.

During the four-day event, experts on the main stage discussed how to choose the best cosmetics and how modern medical gadgets help monitor health. They also conducted on-site makeup masterclasses and highlighted the latest beauty industry trends.

The business programme included 50 thematic sessions with over 100 Russian and 20 international beauty experts.

In addition, the business programme featured the top makeup artist and founder of Krygina Studio, Elena Krygina; the top Lebanese makeup artist and owner of the Lebanon-based cosmetics brand Samer Khouzami; owner of the beauty salon network Keep Looking Ksenia Shipilova; the founder of the premium-class South Korean cosmetics brand Svetlana Son; as well as the creator of the popular innovative platform for South Korean beauty gadgets Bo Hya Kim.

The event also featured the Russian celebrities Larisa Guzeeva, Ekaterina Mtsituridze, and others who attended Moscow Beauty Week 2023 to support Russian beauty manufacturers and test the presented products.
