InsuranceMarket.ae is the new name for Dubai Metro’s Mashreq station

10-year naming rights deal signed

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has awarded InsuranceMarket.ae, the UAE’s largest insurance platform, the naming rights to Mashreq metro station in Dubai City for the next decade.

Mashreq metro station on the Red Line of the Dubai Metro network is being rebranded as the InsuranceMarket metro station for ten years, for an undisclosed sum, but one that typically runs into double digits.

The station, situated between the Mall of The Emirates and Dubai Internet City metro stations along Sheikh Zayed Road, is undergoing a comprehensive rebranding process as part of the agreement signed by Dubai’s RTA and InsuranceMarket.ae.

The rebranding process—featuring the name InsuranceMarket.ae and InsuranceMarket—will occur from September to November 2024. The station’s name will be updated on all external and internal signage, intelligent systems, and Dubai’s RTA public transport app.

The new name will also be announced in audio announcements on the Dubai Metro train network. Metro riders are advised to be aware of this change, and station teams will be available to assist with any inquiries during the transition period.

Abdul Mohsen Ibrahim Kalbat, CEO of Dubai’s RTA’s Rail Agency, highlighted the significance of the new partnership, noting that it underscores the transport authority’s commitment to fostering collaborations with the private sector in the UAE.

“This partnership with InsuranceMarket.ae is a prime example of how public-private collaborations can drive economic growth. It enhances our projects’ visibility, contributes to job creation, and aligns with the government’s strategic goals,” Kalbat said.

Kalbat further emphasised Dubai’s position as a prime location for companies to showcase and promote their brands. “Dubai Metro stations offer a unique advertising platform that supports companies in enhancing their global competitiveness and expanding their market reach,” he added.

Avinash Babur, Founder & CEO of InsuranceMarket.ae, expressed his enthusiasm for the naming rights, calling it a landmark achievement for the company. “We are proud to have one of Dubai’s iconic metro stations named after InsuranceMarket.ae.

“This milestone reflects our dedication to connecting customers with the right insurance solutions and aligns with our mission to enhance safety and convenience for the UAE community,” Babur stated.
