ISPRS Geospatial Week 2025 invites papers

Focus on innovation in geospatial technologies

The ISPRS Geospatial Week 2025 is calling for papers to be presented at the event, which will be held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from April 6 to 11, 2025.

Organised by the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS) and hosted by Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC), the event will bring together experts and researchers from around the globe to explore advancements in photogrammetry, remote sensing and their applications across various domains under the theme ‘Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing for a Better Tomorrow.’

The conference marks important milestones for the academic community with deadlines for total paper submissions for Annals and abstracts for Archives. The rigorous review process will ensure that the latest research findings in photogrammetry and remote sensing are disseminated globally.

The event will feature a comprehensive lineup of topics aimed at leveraging geospatial technologies for sustainable development and innovative solutions.

Key highlights of the conference will include discussions on Smart Forests and Agriculture, AI-driven Spatial Data Quality, Disaster Risk Management using Earth Observation, and advancements in 3D Sensing for Smart Cities.

These are the deadlines for submission of papers:

Annals (Fully Reviewed Papers):

  • Complete paper submission (Annals): October 18, 2024
  • Full paper Author notification: January 10, 2025
  • Camera-ready paper submission: February 10, 2025

Archives (Abstract Reviewed Papers):

  • Abstracts submission (Archives): December 2, 2024
  • Abstracts Author notification: January 10, 2025
  • Camera-ready paper submission: February 10, 2025

The event will feature discussions and presentations on cutting-edge research topics such as Semantic Scene Analysis, Digital Twins for Smart Mobility, and Remote Sensing applications in urban monitoring.

Participants will explore the potential of geospatial artificial intelligence, digital construction methodologies, and the role of open-source HD maps in advancing autonomous systems.

“By harnessing the precision of photogrammetry, the insights from remote sensing, and the encompassing knowledge of spatial sciences, we hold the keys to understanding our planet’s past, navigating its present, and shaping its future,” Al Marri concluded.

ISPRS Geospatial Week 2025 will serve as a beacon for collaboration and innovation in geospatial sciences, fostering international cooperation and paving the way for a technologically advanced and sustainable future.
