Jaguar arrives at Miami Art week

Jaguar has entered a new transformative era with a global re-emergence at one of the world’s most premier art festivals.

Miami Art Week saw Jaguar celebrated amongst the best in contemporary art, revealing its own creation in the form of a distinctive design vision concept, and giving a global platform to rising creative talents.

The original British luxury brand revealed a dramatic statement of intent, showcasing a radical new design language centred around the first public debut of its new creative vision: Jaguar Type 00.

Jaguar’s vision for the future is encapsulated in the Type 00. Far morethan a concept car, the Type 00 represents the brand’s new creative philosophythrough a design that blends exuberant modernism, artistry and innovation.

Artistic endeavour

Emphasising its purpose as an advocate for art, Jaguar championedBritish creativity by giving a global platform to a new generation of visionaries, with a series of meticulously curated gallery spaces in two locations. First as the OfficialLuxury Automobile of Art Miami presenting‘Jaguar.Exuberance’ – an immersive exploration of its new brand identity featuring original works by British artists.

Second, amid the star-lit art, fashion and architectural playground of Miami Design District, atJungle Plaza Jaguar presented ‘Copy Nothing’. A multi-dimensional collection of connected installations, merging Jaguar’s storied design ethos with unique, one-of-a-kind pieces by contemporary British artists – Ibby Njoya, Campbell Addy, Yagamoto and Patience Harding who were also present to open their exhibitions.  

As the sun set over Miami beach, luminaries of theart world along with prominent figures from film, fashion and music including Chance the Rapper,supermodels Helena Christensen, Karolina Kurkova and Devon Windsor and Britishactor Dominic Cooper along with model and creative director, David Gandy gathered for an exclusive DJ set by Más Tiempo presents Skepta, before beingintroduced to Type 00.

Helena Christensen donned a vintage Chanel dress, while Karolina Kurkova opted for a sparkly jumpsuit by local Miami designer Silvia Tcherassi, and Devon Windsor stunned in a black Alexis dress. British rapper, producer and DJ, Skepta, donned a Mains hoodie from his own label, Acme jacket,Diesel jeans and Puma trainers.

Jaguar inspires like no other

Jaguar has always stood as a beacon of originality—synonymous with design excellence and forward-thinking vision, Jaguar has long been celebrated not only for its engineering achievements but also for its artistic influence.Few examples encapsulate this better than the Jaguar E-type’s inclusion in theMuseum of Modern Art (MoMa) in New York- a recognition of car design as an art form and a testament to Jaguar’s enduring cultural impact.

Unmatched in its heritage, Jaguar is recapturing the same sense of awe that surrounded iconic models like the E-type; and guided by its the singular vision of its founder, Sir William Lyons, who believed that Jaguar should be a‘Copy Of Nothing’ and that its cars should be considered as art forms.

Dramatic exterior

Type 00’s silhouette features a striking balance of proportions; this isa vehicle for drivers who are independently minded and have an appreciation for art and design in all its forms.

It introduces a completely redefined and fearless new face for Jaguar, featuring a long bonnet, sweeping fastback panoramic roofline and 23-inch alloy wheels for a dramatic silhouette and impressive sense of sculpture.

Type00 is presented in two colours, dubbed Miami Pink and London Blue – the formerreflects the iconic Art Deco surroundings of its reveal, the latter referencesits British heritage.

Captivating interior

Apair of dramatic butterfly doors and ‘pantograph’ tailgate open to reveal a modernist interior that shares its exuberant proportions with the exterior. The awe-inspiring cabin features three hand-finished brass lines which run the length of the interior, with a central 3.2m-long brass spine that splits a pair of floating instrument panels.

The luxurious wool-blend upholstery is courtesy of Kvadrat, Europe’s leading textile design house. This interplay of textiles, stone, and brass embodies a philosophy of natural luxury, where authenticity and artistry take precedence.

And this uncompromising creative approach runs from its exuberant proportions all the way through to the finest details, which will inspire a new family of Jaguars unlike anything you’ve ever seen before. A vision which strives for the highest level of artistic endeavour.”

Community of artists

A world of exuberant expression; Jaguar celebrated British creativity by showcasing the works of a new generation of visionary artists at its ‘CopyNothing’ installation, Jungle Plaza at Miami Design District.

Njoya’s artwork ‘Theory of Colour’ embodies a shared belief in colour as basis for all creativity.

“Colour is more than just a visual element; it’s an experience. Each hue carries its own energy, and when colours interact, they create a dynamic, living dialogue. A soft pastel pink beside a deep, saturated red doesn’t just contrast—it shifts the entire atmosphere of a space. The gradual transition of one shade melting into another—like a rich green bleeding into a warm yellow—feels like an unfolding moment.”

Campbell and Yagamoto’s artwork ‘Strikethrough Convention’ reflects ashared philosophy in evolution – always pushing forward and the courage tostrikethrough conventions.

“We set out to capture the essence of transformation through this short film, blending intimate moments with powerful storytelling. Together, these narratives tell a tale of reinvention and self-discovery, urging us to move boldly toward the future.

“Each of us brought a unique perspective to this collaboration—different approaches to moving image, movement, and energy. Our goal was to create a piece that feels both personal and universal, one that explores a concept that resonates deeply within all of us.”

Patience’s artistic review ‘Theatre of Chiaroscuro’ expresses a shared perspective of the significance of Chiaroscuro, an exploration of light and shade. Creating contrasts and volume to build tension, mystery and intimacy.

“Theatre of Chiaroscuro isa project where I focused on creating an immersive, interactive experience that engages multiple senses. The centrepiece of the work is the negative space left by Type 00’s imprint in rock. I invite the audience to interact with these spaces—to sit within them, touch them, and explore the form in a tangible way.For me, it’s about exploring how absence can be just as powerful as presence…It’s an environment where light, sound, and texture come together to create a contemplative and limitless experience, one that challenges the boundaries of imagination.”
