L’Epée 1839 Collaborates With The Dial Artist
Unveils Exclusive Series Of Artistic Grenades
In an innovative fusion of luxury watchmaking and street art, L’Epée 1839, a renowned Swiss clock manufacturer, has joined forces with The Dial Artist to introduce an exclusive series of one-of-a-kind timekeeping Grenades.
Drawing inspiration from diverse creative influences, from contemporary to street art, this collaboration marks a bold exploration of new artistic frontiers.
Each kinetic sculpture in the L’Epée 1839 x The Dial Artist Grenade series embodies its unique character, reflecting individuality and authenticity. Seamlessly blending different art forms, these exquisite timepieces transcend the boundaries of conventional design.
Chris Alexander, known as The Dial Artist, found resonance with L’Epée 1839’s creative narrative for the Grenade, perceiving it as a poignant reminder of the human experience and the inevitable passage of time.
‘Art Bomb’
Embracing the concept of the ‘Art Bomb,’ this collaborative venture challenges norms and perceptions, offering a fresh perspective on the intersection of art and timekeeping.
The L’Epée 1839 Grenade is a testament to this symbiotic relationship between luxury watchmaking and street art. Far from being a mere timepiece, it represents a catalyst for joy and love, transcending its military origins to embody a symbol of cultural innovation and peace.
Crafted as one-of-a-kind creations, each Grenade in this collaboration marries L’Epée 1839’s precision design and mechanical expertise with The Dial Artist’s distinctive paintwork.
Reflecting the essence of individuality and the ephemeral nature of time, these pieces serve as tangible expressions of artistic expression and artisanry.
8 Days Power Reserve
At the heart of the L’Epée 1839 Grenade lies a meticulously engineered movement, designed and manufactured in-house. With a power reserve of eight days and a multilevel vertical architecture, this masterpiece of horology embodies the brand’s commitment to excellence and innovation.
Chris Alexander, The Dial Artist, draws creative inspiration from his diverse background and experiences, infusing his artwork with bursts of colour and abstract expressionism. With a firm belief in the collaborative process between artist, client, and watch, Alexander’s distinctive style blurs the lines between contemporary art and horology.
Established in 1839, L’Epée 1839 has been perpetuating the art of mechanical clockmaking for over 185 years.
Based in Delémont, Switzerland, the manufacturer prides itself on its commitment to artisanry and innovation. All timepieces are designed, engineered, and manufactured in-house.
The Grenade series, a collaboration between L’Epée 1839 and The Dial Artist, represents a harmonious blend of tradition and modernity, artistry and functionality. With each piece crafted as a unique expression of creativity and artisanry, this collaboration sets a new standard for artistic horology.
