Lexar unveils the world’s fastest, most robust, and slimmest memory solutions
Exclusively at GITEX Global 2024
Lexar has launched an innovative lineup at GITEX Global 2024, including the world’s fastest, most robust, and thinnest memory solutions.
Focusing on professional photographers, videographers, gamers, and content creators, Lexar’s latest offerings include products with massive capacities and remarkable speeds catering to the dynamic needs of the Middle East and Africa region’s tech-savvy users.
GITEX Global 2024, the world’s largest tech and startup event, runs from October 14 to 18 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
Fissal Oubida, General Manager and Global Marketing Director for Lexar in the Middle East, Africa, and India, emphasised the company’s commitment to research and development, stating that the showcased products at GITEX Global 2024 reflect Lexar’s dedication to innovation.
He highlighted that their designs undergo rigorous testing in state-of-the-art quality labs, which feature over 1,100 digital devices for testing to ensure high performance, quality, compatibility, and reliability.
Lexar Armor series
Among the standout Lexar products at GITEX Global 2024 is the Lexar Armor series, the world’s first memory card made from 316 stainless steel. This series includes the Gold SD UHS-II and Silver Pro SD UHS-II cards, which are rugged for outdoor use and feature IP68 waterproofing, dustproofing, and bend-resistance features.
Both cards promise impressive read speeds of up to 280 MB/s. Silver Pro offers a write speed of 160 MB/s, while Gold delivers up to 205 MB/s. The Armor series is available in 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB capacities.
Lexar also showcases the Professional Diamond CFexpress 4.0 Type B Card, lauded as the fastest memory card globally. It achieves read speeds of up to 3,700 MB/s and write speeds of 3,400 MB/s.
Another highlight is the SL500 Portable SSD, one of the slimmest on the market, measuring just 4.8 millimetres thick and weighing only 43 grams. Designed for USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 devices, it offers read speeds up to 2,000 MB/s and write speeds up to 1,800 MB/s.

Oubida further noted that Lexar’s participation at GITEX Global 2024 aligns with the company’s mission to deliver cutting-edge memory solutions tailored for the Middle East and Africa.
He expressed excitement about showcasing the Armor series and the compact SL500 SSD alongside other innovative products that promise to enhance user experiences and provide exceptional value.
In addition to the Armor series, Lexar is introducing various other memory products, including the CFexpress 4.0 and SD 8.0 cards. Utilising next-gen PCIe 4.0 technology, Lexar’s new CFexpress cards come in capacities up to 4TB, allowing for seamless 8K RAW video shooting. The SD8.0 Professional Gold PRO SDXC Express Card boasts read speeds of up to 1,700 MB/s, significantly faster than previous generations.
For portable storage needs, Lexar’s Professional Go Portable SSD, available in 1-2TB capacities, is designed for mobile video shooting. It features USB 3.2 Gen 2 performance, enabling rapid 4K video capture. The Lexar Ares RGB 2nd Gen DDR5 Desktop Memory series, featuring premium SK hynix DRAM chips, offers speeds up to 8,000 MT/s.
Additionally, Lexar is launching its ‘pear’ brand with a new digital picture frame that features a 2K anti-glare display and functions as a shared photo album. The company engages visitors at GITEX Global 2024 through a DIY activity, allowing them to create custom USB drives.
With a strong presence in the imaging industry and recognition through multiple awards, including seven Red Dot Awards and consecutive TIPA Awards, Lexar continues to establish itself as a leader in technological innovation and design excellence.
Oubida also highlighted Lexar’s commitment to building a community of professional content creators in the Middle East and Africa region through workshops and forums to share creative insights.
