Maserati to unveil new super sports car
At Monterey Car Week 2024 in California
Maserati is set to make a significant splash at this year’s Monterey Car Week with the world premiere of its latest super sports car. The unveiling will occur on August 16, 2024, at ‘The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering in California, one of the most prestigious and eagerly anticipated events in the automotive calendar.
The new Maserati creation, blending cutting-edge technology with exceptional aerodynamic performance, is designed to offer a racing-inspired experience on the road. It builds on the legacy of the Maserati GT2 and represents an evolution of the MC20, the Trident’s flagship car featuring the iconic V6 Nettuno engine.
Developed and manufactured entirely in Italy, the new Maserati super sports car embodies the brand’s commitment to performance and innovation. The MC20 project initially aimed to produce a track and road version, leveraging the same technical expertise and components.
Being held from August 14 to 19, the Monterey Car Week is renowned for its glamorous showcase of classic and modern automobiles. Maserati’s new model will highlight this year’s event, offering car enthusiasts a blend of style, sophistication, and extraordinary driving dynamics.
The debut of the new Maserati will occur at 9:12am PST, with Giovanni Perosino, Maserati’s Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, and Klaus Busse, Maserati’s Head of Design, presenting the car.
This new addition to Maserati’s lineup promises to captivate car enthusiasts with its unique design and high performance, setting new standards in the world of super sports cars.
The event will also feature the MC20 Icona and MCXtrema models.
The MC20 Icona, a limited edition inspired by the 2004 MC12 Stradale, will make its North American debut, while the MCXtrema, Maserati’s most extreme track-only racing car, will see its first units delivered at the Laguna Seca circuit during Monterey Car Week.
