MB&F Introduces the Legacy Machine FlyingT
A Tribute To Feminine Influence In Horology
MB&F has unveiled the Legacy Machine FlyingT, its first timepiece inspired by and dedicated to women. This innovation marks a significant milestone in the brand’s 14-year history, aligning with its pattern of unveiling groundbreaking creations in seven-year cycles.
The Legacy Machine FlyingT distinguishes itself with a three-dimensional horological art piece encapsulating elegance and dynamism. MB&F Founder Maximilian Büsser conceived it as an homage to the influential women in his life.
This piece combines luxurious materials, including gold and platinum, with intricate design elements like a steeply cambered bezel and a dome of sapphire crystal, often adorned with diamonds, to manifest a vision of feminine strength and elegance.
Central to the design is the cinematic flying tourbillon, which projects boldly from the dial. It is topped with a single large diamond that rotates coordinated, embodying a radiant spectacle.
This is complemented by a subtly inclined dial at the 7 o’clock position, enabling an intimate viewing angle for the wearer alone, emphasising time’s personal essence.
For Mother
Reflecting on the design, Büsser said: “I wanted LM FlyingT to reflect the personality and qualities of the women of my family, particularly my mother. It had to combine supreme elegance with tremendous vitality.”
Including a sun-shaped rotor on the reverse side further imbues the piece with symbolic references to life-giving force and sustenance, underscoring the profound maternal inspirations behind the watch.
The Legacy Machine FlyingT has evolved since its debut, with initial editions in white gold and diamonds and limited editions in red gold and platinum. The collection has expanded to include special gemstone dial editions, enhancing its allure with a blend of traditional artisanry and avant-garde design.
Technical prowess underpins the aesthetic marvel of the LM FlyingT, with a movement featuring vertical and co-axial architecture, a departure from the conventional.
This engineering marvel ensures a power reserve of four days and showcases MB&F’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of mechanical watchmaking.
