MongoDB reinforces commitment to UAE and Saudi Arabia

Amidst Middle East expansion push

MongoDB, a US-based developer data solutions provider, has announced plans to enhance its presence in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Saudi Arabia to meet the increasing demand for local support in modernisation and innovation projects.

In 2025, MongoDB intends to more than double its regional workforce, focusing on roles in sales, solutions architecture, channel partnerships, and customer success. This expansion aligns with the company’s strategy to support the UAE and Saudi Arabia’s ambitions to become leaders in AI and advanced technologies.

Boris Bialek, Vice President and Field Chief Technology Officer, Industry Solutions, MongoDB, said: “The UAE and Saudi Arabia are fast becoming major hubs for innovation, digital transformation, and AI-driven customer experience. It’s an exciting time for the region, and we’re proud to be helping to support this growth.

“Expanding further into the market, we will be part of the region’s digital transformation journey. The future is wedded in data, and by providing the data technology to empower businesses to grow, we are setting a precedent for the future of data-driven decision-making and an international benchmark for others to follow.”

At the company’s first ‘Customer Day’ Summit in the Middle East region, held at the Museum of the Future in Dubai on February 18, 2025, MongoDB customers, including blue-chip companies and entities from the government, aviation, and retail sectors, experienced live demonstrations and took part in technical sessions designed to equip them with the tools they need to build and deploy mission-critical applications at scale.

The UAE boasts a community of over 23,000 developers proficient in MongoDB, which has grown by more than 20% over the past year. This surge reflects the increasing adoption of MongoDB’s unified, intelligent data platform, which is designed to power the next generation of applications.

MongoDB is pursuing strategic partnerships to accelerate digital transformation in the region. In this context, the company signed an agreement on February 18, 2025, with Moro Hub, a subsidiary of Digital DEWA, the digital arm of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority. This collaboration empowers organisations to build intelligent applications and AI-powered solutions, further cementing MongoDB’s commitment to the Middle East.

The Middle East’s rapid digital transformation presents significant opportunities for MongoDB. The company can support the region’s technological advancements and contribute to its economic growth by expanding its operations and partnerships in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. As businesses increasingly rely on data-driven decision-making, MongoDB’s role in providing robust, scalable data solutions becomes vital.

MongoDB’s strategic initiatives in the UAE and Saudi Arabia underscore its dedication to fostering innovation and supporting the Middle East’s digital evolution. Through substantial investments in local talent, strategic partnerships, and a focus on AI and advanced technologies, MongoDB is poised to play a pivotal role in the region’s technological landscape.
