‘Moscow A Cappella’ festival takes centre stage

Musical extravaganza enthrals visitors

Moscow has become a musical haven with the grand ‘Moscow A Cappella’ festival, part of the expansive ‘Territory of the Future. Moscow 2030’ and the vibrant ‘Summer in Moscow’ festivities running from August 23 to September 1, 2024.

The international vocal festival is captivating audiences across the Russian capital with its extensive showcase of cappella talent from around the globe.

The festival, spanning over 35 concert venues, features 150 A Cappella groups from 13 countries, including China, Japan, Belarus, Germany, and Argentina.

Music lovers can enjoy a rich tapestry of genres, from classical to contemporary, performed in unique and unexpected locations. The opening ceremony at Zaryadye Park offered an impressive backdrop with views of Red Square.

Manezhaya Square and Revolution Square also host a special lounge zone where visitors can unwind in a beach-themed atmosphere in the heart of Moscow.

The area features performances by Cappella groups, live DJ sets, designer picnics, and comfortable pouffes for lounging. Additionally, a gastromarket offers a delightful array of dishes from all regions of Russia, allowing attendees to savour the country’s diverse culinary offerings.

Highlighting the festival’s inclusive spirit, all events are open to the public free of charge and without the need for pre-registration.

To add an interactive twist, a city-wide karaoke contest invites participants to showcase their vocal talents at ten dedicated booths spread across Moscow. Winners stand to win exciting prizes, making it an engaging experience.

The ‘Moscow A Cappella’ festival is part of the ‘Moscow Seasons’ project, a series of large-scale urban events that offer dynamic and memorable experiences throughout the year in the Russian capital.
