Opswat to highlight Mobile CIP Lab at GITEX Global 2024

Free CIP certifications on offer

Opswat, a global leader in critical infrastructure protection (CIP) cybersecurity solutions, will participate at GITEX Global 2024 under the theme ‘Future Forward CIP’. From October 14 to 18, the company will showcase its cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions that bridge the gap between operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT).

A central feature of Opswat’s presence in the CyberValley section, Stand H25-C70, Hall 25, at GITEX Global 2024 at Dubai World Trade Centre will be its Mobile CIP Lab, which will allow attendees to explore the capabilities of the MetaDefender platform through interactive demonstrations.

These demonstrations will cover a range of use cases, including storage security, secure managed file transfer, peripheral protection, and endpoint security. Additionally, attendees can tour Opswat’s Nuclear Plant Model Reactor, showcasing the company’s expertise in securing sensitive industrial environments.

Sertan Selcuk, Opswat’s Vice President of Sales for the Middle East, Turkey, Africa, Pakistan, and CIS, highlighted the importance of robust defence mechanisms in safeguarding critical infrastructure.

“Critical infrastructure calls for critical defence,” Selcuk stated, urging clients to distrust files and devices. He emphasised that this proactive approach is essential for combating malware, particularly zero-day exploits, and protecting vital IT and OT environments.

Selcuk elaborated on the challenges faced by today’s security leaders, stating that they must address not only detection but also their organisations’ security perimeters. He stressed the need for strategies that manage peripheral media, secure web applications, and foster a culture of cybersecurity awareness to maintain public trust.

In alignment with Cybersecurity Awareness Month, Opswat will offer complimentary CIP certifications and run a Cyber Challenge at GITEX Global 2024, allowing participants to enhance their skills and compete for prizes.

The company aims to foster strategic partnerships during the event, focusing on innovative solutions to the evolving security challenges faced by the IT and OT sectors. “Our mission is to create collaborative opportunities that enhance cybersecurity integration across diverse technological domains,” Selcuk explained.
