REALTEK Summit 2024 proves to be a landmark event for real estate professionals
With optimism in the air
The REALTEK Summit 2024 Conference & Awards, a pivotal gathering for the UAE real estate sector, was held in Dubai on September 24, 2024. Biz Events Management organised the one-day conference, which brought together industry leaders and practitioners to explore the latest trends and innovations in the Arabian Gulf nation’s vibrant real estate sector.
Following the success of its inaugural edition in 2023, this year’s summit established itself as the premier platform for networking and knowledge exchange among UAE real estate experts and innovators. Attendees engaged in presentations, panel discussions, and interactive sessions.
Sir Sohan Roy, Founder Chairman and CEO of Aries Group of Companies, delivered the presidential address. Keynote speaker Khamis Juma Buamim, Chairman of the Dubai Council for Marine & Maritime Industries and Chairman & Group CEO of KBI-UAE, headlined the conference. His insightful address set an ambitious tone for the day, promising cutting-edge strategies and a glimpse into the future of real estate.
Key presentations
The summit also featured a presentation titled ‘Delos and Advancements in the Healthy Building Space’ by Tekha Selim, Executive Vice President & Head of MENA, Delos, followed by a presentation titled ‘AI in Real Estate’ by Kunal Puri, Founder & CEO, La Capitale Real Estate.

Waqar Hasan, Founder and CEO of Itihad Community Management, also delivered a presentation titled ‘Identifying, Reducing, and Avoiding Cyber Risks in Real Estate Management,’ followed by Maha Al Saud, Manager of Emerging Technology at Roshn, who presented ‘Roshn and Proptech: Shaping the Future of Urban Living.’
Panel discussions
The summit’s first panel discussion session, moderated by Silvia Eldawi, Founder, Propologi, was titled ‘The Outlook for Real Estate in UAE: Trends and Future Projections’ and featured the following panellists: Fateh Al-Msaddi, COO, fäm Properties; Farooq Syed, CEO, Springfield Properties; Denis Scvortov, Co-founder, Reelly.io; Rupert Simmonds, Director of Leasing, Betterhomes; Zhann Jochinke, COO, Property Monitor; and Stuart Harrison, CEO, Emrill Services.
The second panel discussion titled ‘Leadership and Empowerment: Women Shaping the Future of Real Estate’ and moderated by Ekaterina Bakeeva, Brand Director, Plan3Media, featured the following panellists: Lynnette Sacchetto, Founder, RealTrust; Dounia Fadi, Managing Director, eXp Realty; Anisha Sagar, Director of Property Management, Allsopp & Allsopp; Aureen Reddy, Director: Property Management, Anarock; and Sarah Hewerdine, Head of Marketing, Stake.
The third and final panel discussion titled ‘AI and Machine Learning: Transforming Real Estate with Data-Driven Insights’ was moderated by Anastasia Denisova, Co-founder of Realiste & Growth Partner at Al-Najm, and featured the following panellists: Binoo Joseph, CIO, Cenomi; Amjad Abou Said, Head of Business Development; Ram Jalan, Director of Customer Journey Transformation, Damac Properties; Hussain Saifuddin, Head of ICT, Emrill; and Fadi Massouh, CEO, Ai Real Estate Consultancy.
REALTEK Awards 2024
The REALTEK Awards 2024 highlighted exceptional talent and leadership within the UAE real estate industry. Laila Rahhal El Atfani, Goodwill Ambassador, president, and founder of multiple organisations, graced the occasion and recognised outstanding contributions from individuals and organisations.
Notable individual award recipients included Praveen Pillai, CEO, MACINS Group of Companies (Rising Star – Individual); Anas Gahshan, Head of Facility Management & Sustainability, Kaizen Asset Management (Excellence in Professional Services – Real Estate); Silvia Eldawi, Founder, Propologi & host of Golden Nuggets Show (Woman Personality of the Year); and Hamza Betraoui, Partner & Board Member, Land Sterling (REALTEK Personality of the Year).
Organisational award winners included Damac Properties (Developer of the Year); fäm Properties (Best Real Estate Agency); Kaizen Asset Management Services (Property Management Company of the Year); and Almal Capital Investment (Real Estate Investment Firm of the Year).
Other noteworthy awards included recognitions for innovation, training, and emerging brands, such as Betterhomes for Most Innovative Real Estate Agency and Nabni Developments as Fastest Emerging Brand.

As REALTEK Summit 2024 concluded, it once again reaffirmed its status as an invaluable platform for knowledge sharing and networking within the UAE real estate industry, setting a high standard for future gatherings.
