Responsible Business participating in Mercithon
Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Waterfront and Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Canal View teams participated in the marathon to support the spread of cancer awareness.
Mercithon is a Walk for Hope or a charity walkathon organized by St. Mary’s Catholic Church to show support for cancer patients. The first event was organized back in 2017 with over 12,500 participants which helped in raising a total of AED 575,000 for the medical treatment of cancer patients.
This year, the walkathon took place on February 19th at Creek Park, Dubai. The Responsible Business represented by both Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Waterfront and Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Canal View, proudly took an action and participated in the event to spread awareness of cancer in order to provide support to both patients & their families.
According to the Mercithon, almost 15,000 participants joined the Walk for Hope and helped to raise around AED 724,000 (without counting children) funds towards the medical treatments.
As part of the Responsible Business, the staff of both Radisson Blu hotels in business bay will continue taking actions in reducing the impact of cancer and happily help the community.
