Savoye highlights 3-in-1 Odatio solution at GITEX Global 2023
Pharma, retail and e-commerce see exponential growth in ME
Savoye, the Dijon, France-headquartered provider of end-to-end custom advanced software and technological solutions for the global supply chain industry, showcased Odatio, its innovative, scalable, and tailor-made supply chain execution management software solution for WMS (Warehouse Management System), TMS (Transportation Management System) and Order Management System (OMS) applications at GITEX Global – the largest tech and startup event in the world – held at Dubai World Trade Centre from October 16-20, 2023.
According to Alain Kaddoum, Managing Director at Savoye Middle East, Odatio is the result of three decades of Savoye’s experience designing and publishing supply chain execution software. Odatio is now available to customers across the Middle East in SaaS and on-premises modes.
Global customers
The development of Odatio follows the company providing customers across the globe with advanced handling and logistics technologies, software, expertise and knowledge to help them move goods more efficiently, profitably and sustainably.
Since Odatio is a 100% web-based solution that is responsive and accessible from any screen, tablet, smartphone or operator terminal, the solution is ideally suited to supply chain operators in the Middle East region, said Kaddoum, adding that the comprehensive solution is available to customers in a private cloud, a public cloud, or in a customer’s on-premises infrastructure.
Singling out the critical attributes of Odatio, Anas Hammoudeh, Software Sales Manager at Savoye Middle East, stated that since the platform is modular by default, it allows the modules to be activated progressively, as and when required by customers’ needs.
The solution is also future-proof as Savoye continuously enhances it with new standard modules complemented with continuous access to updates of existing features. Hammoudeh noted that the platform lets customers have complete visibility of their warehouse and transport operations from a dedicated multi-site, interactive, and fully customisable dashboard.
Key innovation
With the central theme of GITEX Global 2023 being ‘The Year to Imagine AI in Everything’, and with a critical thrust on innovation, Kaddoum stressed that as a cloud-native application, Odatio is innovation at its best as the solution combines automated systems, AI, robotics, and machine learning capabilities.
Savoye’s business model is split along two verticals: advanced technologies spanning automated picking, automated storage, automated packaging and micro-fulfilment centres on the one hand, and advanced software incorporating WMS, TMS, OMS, and WES on the other hand.
Thanks to its portfolio of warehouse automation and software publishing that empowers the French company to meet the needs of customers’ large-scale projects in the Middle East and across the globe, Savoye posted a global turnover of over AED 785 million in 2022 and is on track to surpass this figure by the end of 2023.
Providing an overview of growth areas in the Middle East region, Kaddoum said: “Pharma, retail and e-commerce continue to be fast-growing sectors in 2023. As such, we see the demand for warehouse automation and supply chain software for these sectors rising exponentially.
“Our customers in the region increasingly need to drive more orders and facilitate more customised orders, and they are seeking more efficient ways of deliveries, like fast deliveries, same-day deliveries, last-mile deliveries, etc. These types of deliveries need specific technologies – like the ones we provide – to help streamline our customers’ operations,” Kaddoum concluded.
