Shard Unveils Real Estate Co-Ownership Model In Dubai
Involving Properties From AED200,000+
Shard, a Dubai-based shared premium real estate ownership company, will officially launch its innovative co-ownership service in Dubai on July 1, 2024.
This model, already prevalent in the United States and Europe, aims to tap into the growing demand for flexible and upscale living options in Dubai’s vibrant real estate sector.
Shard’s co-ownership is a unique blend of investment and luxury lifestyle benefits. It allows up to eight individual buyers to own a 1/8 share of premium properties in Dubai, with the buyers’ names on the title deed. Each owner enjoys personal use of the property for 44 days annually, making it ideal for personal retreats, family vacations, or hosting guests.
Shard’s latest initiative, encompassing curated properties starting at $54,347 (AED200,000), includes exclusive access to premium properties in prime real estate locations across Dubai emirate, such as Downtown, Bluewaters Island, and Palm Jumeirah.
The initiative comes as Dubai’s real estate market continues flourishing, with premium property prices significantly appreciating year-on-year, with average rates exceeding $1,200 (AED4,4167) per square foot.
Local Tie-Ups
Shard’s co-ownership model is enhanced by its collaboration with leading UAE-based real estate agencies and proptech firms such as BetterHomes and Huspy. This partnership ensures a seamless customer experience, from buying through scheduling to reselling, and underscores Shard’s commitment to providing a reliable and efficient co-ownership platform.
István Juhász, CEO and co-founder of Shard, said: “Shard was born out of my dream to own a second home. Buying the house you fall in love with is expensive, and investing in real estate funds feels impersonal.
“With co-ownership comes the attractive benefits of both without the hassle of managing the property. At Shard, we have designed a seamless experience for our customers to enjoy effortless co-ownership from buying through scheduling to reselling.”
Shard’s latest initiative in Dubai marks a significant step towards democratising access to premium real estate. Prospective owners are promised luxury, convenience, and investment potential.
Shard plans to expand its unique premium property co-ownership service across the Gulf region.
