Silent Yachts sets sail on ambitious production schedule
Set to deliver 18 new yachts in 18 months
In the serene coastal town of Fano, Italy, the shipyard of Silent Yachts hums with purpose. Amidst the backdrop of blue seas and clear skies, a revolution in yachting is underway. Silent Yachts, renowned for its pioneering solar-powered catamarans, is gearing up to deliver 18 new vessels over 18 months.
The excitement reached its zenith in spring 2024 with the launch of the first Silent 62 3-Deck model. This flagship tri-deck catamaran, sleek and imposing with its solar panels gleaming under the Italian sun, marked a significant milestone for the company under its new ownership.
“We’re seeing a remarkable surge in demand,” beams Fabrizio Carrera, CEO of Silent Yachts, reflecting on their rapid expansion. “Our commitment to sustainable luxury is resonating deeply with boaters worldwide.”
Indeed, the numbers tell a compelling story. By the end of this year alone, Silent Yachts plans to deliver seven Silent 62s, each meticulously crafted to meet the highest standards of eco-friendly performance and luxury. These deliveries pave the way for an even more ambitious schedule in 2025, with an additional eight Silent 62s and the highly anticipated debut of the Silent 80 model.
“The Silent 80 represents the pinnacle of our craftsmanship,” explains Carrera. “It offers expanded living spaces and innovative design features, all powered by our signature solar-electric propulsion system.”
Innovation and adaptability
At the heart of Silent Yachts’ strategy lies innovation and adaptability. The shipyard has swiftly adapted to meet the surge in orders, expanding its workforce from 180 to 220 by the end of this year and planning to reach 270 by mid-2025. This growth underscores the company’s commitment to enhancing production capabilities while maintaining the impeccable quality that defines Silent Yachts.
The upcoming Cannes Yachting Festival in September promises to be a highlight in Silent Yachts’ calendar. It will showcase the Silent 62 3-Deck Open and Closed variants and serve as the global debut for the Silent 62 3-Deck Open, a design hailed for its luxurious upper deck featuring panoramic views and innovative glazing.
“This yacht exemplifies our dedication to pushing boundaries,” notes Carrera. “It’s designed for those who seek not just a vessel, but a lifestyle defined by sustainability and sophistication.”
Looking ahead, Silent Yachts shows no signs of slowing down. With plans to introduce a new model between the Silent 62 and Silent 80 by 2026, the company continues to innovate and expand its offerings in response to evolving market demands.
As the sun sets over the Adriatic Sea, illuminating the towering masts of Silent Yachts’ latest creations, one thing is clear: the future of luxury yachting is powered by silence.
