Digital Cooperation Organization opens entries for its Digital Prosperity Awards

The Riyadh-headquartered Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO) has announced the launch of its inaugural Digital Prosperity Awards to promote projects and organisations embracing digital innovation and bridging the digital divide.

The DCO is the world’s first standalone international organisation focusing on the digital economy.

The awards are open to international public, private, and civil society sectors.

Founded in November 2020, the DCO unites 13 national governments, the private sector, international organisations, NGOs, and civil society, to enable more inclusive digital transformation and the growth of digital industries.

Current DCO member states are Bahrain, Cyprus, Djibouti, Ghana, Jordan, Kuwait, Morocco, Nigeria, Oman, Pakistan, Rwanda, Saudi Arabia, and Gambia.

3 core pillars

The Digital Prosperity Awards are structured around three core pillars: Digital Innovation, Digital Transformation, and Empowering Society.

According to Deemah Al Yahya, Secretary-General of DCO: “The launch of the Digital Prosperity Awards is a significant milestone in recognising outstanding digital contributions of the organisations that enable prosperity for all.

“We are looking forward to identifying the best digital innovators from the DCO’s member states and worldwide that benefit humankind,” Al Yahya added.
