Turkish Airlines implements CAE’s Crew Management solution

Platform improves crew productivity

CAE has partnered with Turkish Airlines, moving forward with a long-term agreement to implement CAE’s next-generation Crew Management product and Unified Task Board. The solution will enhance Turkish Airlines’ operations control centres (OCCs) and complement the airline’s long-standing use of CAE’s Flight Plan Management system.

The Unified Task Board is a state-of-the-art situational awareness and disruption management tool developed closely with airline partners. It offers real-time optimisation for handling operational disruptions by integrating data from multiple systems into a cohesive, single view. The platform automatically generates real-time disruption scenarios for common and complex operational issues, allowing teams to sort, filter, and evaluate potential solutions, ultimately enabling quicker decision-making.

Pascal Grenier, CAE’s Division President of Flight Solutions, highlighted the benefits of this integrated approach. “By adopting CAE’s Flight Plan Management, Crew Management, and Unified Task Board, Turkish Airlines is equipping its team with tools to enhance operational efficiency and overall performance,” he said.

The Crew Management platform, designed to improve crew productivity, will also be key in resolving disruptions, especially when time is critical. Furthermore, the Unified Task Board provides a comprehensive view of operational alerts and system-generated recovery scenarios, allowing crew teams to respond more swiftly and accurately.

Ahmet Acar, Senior Vice President of Crew Planning at Turkish Airlines, emphasised the airline’s commitment to staying ahead of the competition. “At Turkish Airlines, we constantly seek innovative solutions to enhance our operations and deliver the exceptional travel experience our passengers expect.

Building on the success of CAE’s Flight Management software, we are excited to integrate the Crew Management and Unified Task Board solutions, which will streamline processes, reduce disruptions, and ultimately create a more efficient and effective working environment for our crew.”

CAE’s Flight Operations Solutions suite, which includes Crew Management, Flight Management, Airport Management, In-Flight Services Management, Operations Control, and Unified Task Board, enhances situational awareness and fosters collaboration across departments.

By integrating with other service-oriented architectures, these tools enable real-time decision-making and automated workflows, ensuring airlines can make informed decisions faster and recover more efficiently from disruptions.
