UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation to Organise Special Championships During Ramadan

The UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation has announced a series of championships during Ramadan as part of its ongoing commitment to growing the sport and supporting athletes. These events reflect the Federation’s dedication to promoting jiu-jitsu and its core values such as discipline, patience, endurance, and respect, aligning with the holy month’s spirit.
This year’s Ramadan calendar features several major events, starting with the jiu-jitsu competitions at the NAS Sports Tournament 2025, which will take place in Dubai from March 5 to 6.
Meanwhile, the Mother of the Nation Jiu-Jitsu Cup will be held from March 11 to 13, providing female athletes of all ages with a platform to showcase their skills. The Jiu-Jitsu President’s Cup, one of the most prestigious events on the local scene, will also be held in its first round during Ramadan, on March 20.
Abdullah Al Zaabi, Head of the Events and Activities Section at the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation said that organising the championships during the holy month of Ramadan reflects the Federation’s commitment to providing sports platforms that promote social harmony and a healthy lifestyle.
“the holy month of Ramadan is a great time to encourage sportsmanship and spread the jiu-jitsu culture in the community. These tournaments have a unique atmosphere that combines competitions with social activities. They are also a great platform to discover new talent, helping athletes develop their skills and stay engaged in a setting that reinforces commitment and hard work. Additionally, these competitions allow athletes to maintain their fitness and skill levels throughout the holy month.”
These tournaments highlight the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation’s dedication to expanding the sport’s reach. Supported by clubs and sports academies, they attract top athletes looking to compete at the highest level and prepare for upcoming events.
