UAE National MMA Championship 2 to Kick Off Next Saturday in Dubai

The UAE Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts Federation has announced that UAE National MMA Championship 2 will take place on Saturday and Sunday, February 22-23, at Shabab Al Ahli Club in Dubai, with strong participation from athletes representing clubs and academies from across the country.

In a statement issued today, the Federation highlighted that the second edition follows the success of the inaugural championship. The high level of participation reflects the event’s growing role in developing mixed martial arts in the UAE. By offering a structured competitive environment, the championship brings together experienced athletes and emerging talent, allowing them to develop their skills in a professional setting.

The championship has quickly become a key platform for identifying and refining talent, preparing athletes for high-level competition, and contributing to the Federation’s strategy of expanding the sport and producing future champions. It continues to attract athletes across various age groups, including Youth D for ages 10 to 11, Youth C for ages 12 to 13, Youth B for ages 14 to 15, Youth A for ages 16 to 17, and the Seniors category for those aged 18 and above.

Mohammed Jassim Al Hosani, a member of the Mixed Martial Arts Committee at the Federation, stated that the championship is a key part of the Federation’s plan to grow the base of mixed martial arts practitioners. This aligns with the leadership’s vision to develop the sport and strengthen the country’s position in combat sports.

He added that organizing competitions at international standards helps improve athletes’ skills, support young talents, and prepare them to represent the country at various events in the best way possible.

The championship is a significant addition to the country’s mixed martial arts calendar, reinforcing the UAE’s position as a top destination for high-level competitions while underscoring the Federation’s commitment to providing strong competitive platforms for local talent.
