UAEJJF Launches Registration Mechanism for Coaches in Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Jiu-Jitsu Championship
This is the first time the Federation has implemented a regulatory mechanism, aimed at enabling coaches to be present alongside the athletes. The initiative mirrors professional championship structures, allowing coaches to provide support and guidance that enhances athletes’ performance and helps them achieve the best results.
The new system is focused on supporting younger athletes, ensuring they remain focused during matches. It also promotes sportsmanship and positive competition, helping raise the level of performance and competitiveness throughout the championship. This step reflects the Federation’s commitment to international professional standards in its championships and the growth of jiu-jitsu both locally and globally.
Coaches wishing to accompany their athletes must register through the official championship page on the UAEJJF website by Thursday, February 13, 2025.
To be eligible, coaches must hold a valid membership with the Federation and possess a purple, brown, or black belt. During the weigh-in phase, coaches must present their registration card, a valid personal ID, and a belt certificate to receive entry passes. These passes will grant access to the competition area, allowing coaches to support their athletes during the matches.
Yaser Al Qubaisi, Technical Supervisor at UAEJJF, said: “The new registration mechanism represents an unprecedented organisational step that aims to apply the highest standards of organisation and professionalism in the championship by setting clear guidelines for the participation of coaches, ensuring the presence of qualified technical cadres to support athletes, and contributing to establishing an environment that enables athletes to achieve excellence.”
