UAE Issues Safety Advisories for Citizens in Spain, Italy, and Vietnam Amid Protests and Severe Weather

The UAE has issued fresh advisories urging its citizens abroad to exercise caution in Spain, Italy, and Vietnam due to ongoing protests and severe weather conditions.

In Madrid and Rome, the UAE embassies called on Emirati nationals to stay vigilant and avoid areas where demonstrations are taking place. The missions underscored the importance of following safety instructions issued by local authorities and keeping track of official updates to minimise risks.

Both embassies also reminded citizens to register with the “Twajudi” service, which enables rapid communication and assistance during emergencies. Emiratis were further advised to use the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ 24-hour hotlines — 0097180024 or 009718004444 — for urgent support.

Separately, the UAE Embassy in Hanoi warned citizens in Vietnam to take extra precautions as Tropical Storm Matmo brings strong winds and heavy rainfall across several regions. In a statement on X (formerly Twitter), the embassy urged Emiratis to comply with local safety advisories, monitor weather forecasts, and remain enrolled in the Twajudi service for timely assistance.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs continues to emphasise the UAE’s commitment to safeguarding its citizens overseas by providing guidance and emergency support in coordination with local authorities.
