Dubai Airports and Dubai’s road toll operator Salik have signed a long-term agreement to introduce seamless e-wallet parking payments across all terminals at Dubai International Airport.
The 10-year agreement was witnessed by Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, chairman of Dubai Airports, and Mattar Al Tayer, chairman of Salik. Under the deal, Salik’s E-Wallet payment solution will be rolled out across all paid car parks at DXB from January 22, 2026.
The initiative will cover around 7,400 designated parking spaces across Terminals 1, 2 and 3, as well as the Cargo Mega Terminal. Salik’s E-Wallet system will be integrated with the airport’s existing car park management platforms, enabling drivers to pay directly from their Salik accounts without stopping at payment machines.
Salik will be responsible for integrating, operating and maintaining the e-wallet system. Dubai Airports will continue to offer multiple payment options, with the Salik E-Wallet added as a convenient digital alternative, working closely with its car park concessionaire to complete the technical rollout and promote the service across airport facilities.
The partnership is expected to increase vehicle throughput, ease congestion around terminal access roads and deliver a smoother, fully digital parking experience for passengers and visitors.
Dubai International remains one of the world’s busiest airports, handling 24.2 million passengers between July and September, taking total traffic for the first nine months of 2025 to 70.1 million.
“By integrating Salik’s E-Wallet at DXB, we are delivering a seamless and efficient experience for road users while advancing smart mobility solutions for the emirate,” said Ibrahim Sultan Al Haddad, chief executive of Salik. He added that the agreement supports Salik’s strategy to expand beyond tolling into wider digital mobility services.
Paul Griffiths, chief executive of Dubai Airports, said parking is a key touchpoint in the passenger journey. “This collaboration introduces a fast, reliable and widely used digital payment option that simplifies parking, reduces queues at exits and supports our vision for seamless access across our car parks,” he said.
With more than 4.7 million vehicles in the UAE already linked to Salik accounts, the partners said the system offers a familiar solution for a large share of DXB users, while supporting Dubai’s broader smart city and digitalisation goals.
