Dubai’s road toll operator Salik has introduced a revised pricing structure for Ramadan 2026, adjusting peak and off-peak tariffs to better reflect the emirate’s changing traffic patterns during the holy month.

The move is designed to ease congestion and offer greater flexibility for motorists as working hours shift and travel increases around iftar gatherings and late-night activities.

New peak and off-peak tariffs

From Monday to Saturday, drivers will pay Dh6 during peak hours between 9am and 5pm.

Outside those hours, the toll will drop to Dh4 between 7am and 9am and again from 5pm until 2am. Travel will remain free daily between 2am and 7am.

On Sundays, excluding public holidays and major events, motorists will be charged a flat Dh4 during both peak and off-peak periods. As with other days, no toll will apply between 2am and 7am.

Supporting smoother Ramadan commutes

Salik said the temporary adjustments are aimed at improving traffic flow while accommodating Ramadan-specific travel habits, including shorter office hours, family visits and increased evening movement.

By redistributing charges across the day, the authority expects to ease pressure during high-demand periods and support more efficient road usage across Dubai’s toll network.

Motorists are advised to review the updated tariff schedule to plan their journeys accordingly throughout the holy month.
