Dubai announces free parking, revised Metro and bus timings for Eid Al Adha 2026

Roads and Transport Authority has announced revised operating schedules for public transport, parking, customer service centres and vehicle testing facilities during the Eid Al Adha 1447 AH holiday period in Dubai.

The updated arrangements will be in effect across the emirate to support increased travel and public movement during the festive break.

Free public parking during Eid holidays

The RTA confirmed that all public parking zones in Dubai will be free from Monday, May 25, to Friday, May 29, 2026. However, multi-storey parking terminals will remain operational under normal paid parking tariffs throughout the holiday period.

Dubai Metro and Tram operating hours

The Dubai Metro Red and Green Lines will operate under extended Eid schedules:

  • Saturday: 5:00am to 1:00am (next day)
  • Sunday: 8:00am to 1:00am (next day)
  • Monday to Saturday: 5:00am to 1:00am (next day)

Meanwhile, the Dubai Tram will run on the following timetable:

  • Saturday: 6:00am to 1:00am (next day)
  • Sunday: 9:00am to 1:00am (next day)
  • Monday to Saturday: 6:00am to 1:00am (next day)

Bus service changes announced

RTA advised commuters to use the S’hail app to check updated public bus schedules during the Eid holiday.

The authority also confirmed that Bus Route E100 from Al Ghubaiba Bus Station will be suspended from May 23 to May 31, 2026.

Passengers travelling to Abu Dhabi have been advised to use Bus Route E101 from Ibn Battuta Bus Station as an alternative service during the suspension period.

Customer centres and vehicle testing services

All RTA Customer Happiness Centres will remain closed during the Eid break. However, the Umm Ramool centre and smart kiosks located in Deira, Al Barsha, Al Tawar, Al Kifaf and RTA Headquarters will continue operating around the clock.

Vehicle testing service provider centres will also close from Tuesday, May 26, until Friday, May 29, 2026, before resuming regular operations on Saturday, May 30.
