EMSTEEL Group has launched ES600, a new high-performance steel rebar described as the highest-strength steel grade currently manufactured in the UAE, marking a major step in the country’s push toward advanced industrial production and sustainable infrastructure development.
The company unveiled the ES600 rebar during its “Building the UAE’s Future Together” event in Dubai, which brought together leaders from the construction, engineering, and industrial sectors to discuss the future of urban development and advanced manufacturing in the UAE.
Designed for high-rise towers, infrastructure projects, and large-scale developments, ES600 has been engineered to deliver stronger structural performance while reducing material usage. According to EMSTEEL, the product can lower steel consumption by between 18 and 24 per cent, depending on project specifications and design requirements.
The company said the advanced rebar also helps reduce transport and logistics demands, easing on-site congestion and improving project delivery efficiency across complex construction environments.
Certified to both UAE and international standards, ES600 has been developed as a locally manufactured solution aligned with the UAE’s industrial strategy and the national Operation 300bn initiative, which aims to expand the country’s industrial sector contribution to the economy.
EMSTEEL estimates that every 10,000 tonnes of ES600 used can help eliminate around 12,107 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions through reduced material consumption and lower logistics requirements. In high-rise construction, the product has demonstrated the ability to cut approximately one tonne of CO2 emissions per floor.
The rebar is already being supplied to several residential, mixed-use, infrastructure, and landmark developments across the UAE, with total confirmed and ongoing project volumes exceeding 200,000 tonnes.
Eng. Saeed Ghumran Al Remeithi, Group CEO of EMSTEEL, said the launch reflects the UAE industrial sector’s shift toward higher-value manufacturing and advanced engineering solutions.
“ES600 reflects the direction in which the UAE’s industrial sector continues to evolve toward higher-value manufacturing, advanced engineering capability, and nationally produced solutions that support increasingly complex infrastructure and development requirements,” Al Remeithi said.
He added that EMSTEEL’s continued investment in advanced manufacturing and product innovation strengthens local industrial capabilities while supporting the country’s long-term economic diversification and industrial competitiveness goals.
The launch follows the completion of EMSTEEL’s AED625 million Asset Enhancement Programme, which will further expand ES600 production capacity and introduce advanced shear systems for manufacturing next-generation high-strength rebars aimed at supporting more sustainable construction practices.
