The leading environmental solutions provider collected recyclable material from 10 stops in Abu Dhabi & Dubai to highlight recycling awareness and pledge sustainable outcomes
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates — 27 October 2026: UAE-based Dulsco Group, a regional leader in people, environment, talent and recruitment solutions, today announced the completion of its Wheels of Change campaign for the third consecutive year, in the run up to the annual occasion of World zustainability Day which occurs on the last Wednesday of October (28th).
The 2026 drive chalked a significant milestone as the initiative visited Abu Dhabi for the first time – collecting 471kgs of recyclable materials from two Abu Dhabi-based businesses.
Starting on 19th October, the Dulsco Environment Recycling Bus visited a total of 10 organisations and educational institutions across Abu Dhabi and Dubai to collect recyclable waste and raise awareness on the importance of recycling for the planet whilst providing giveaways to the people who collected and handed in the most recyclable material. The visited locations included Armada Distribution a Tamina Company, Bab Al Shams – A Rare Finds Desert Resort Dubai, Safa British School, ERTH Abu Dhabi, Henkel Middle East Trading LLC, Raffles Dubai Hotel, Savoy Group of hotels including Savoy Central Hotel Apartments, Savoy Crest Hotel Apartments, Savoy Park Hotel Apartments and Savoy Suites Hotel Apartments.
In the first two years of the initiative, Dulsco Group’s Wheels of Change team collected over a tonne 1,150 kg of recyclable waste from 12 organisations and educational institutions and drew an individual participation figure of more than 1,000 for another significant occasion; Global Recycling Day. This year, the team collected 1,189 kgs recyclable waste and engaged with more than 1,500 people across the five-day drive.
Mick Satsangi, CEO of Dulsco Environment, Part of Dulsco Group said, “Created to celebrate and acknowledge significant environment days throughout the year, our Wheels of Change initiative is now in its third successful year; continuing to grow in impact and reach. This year, we are proud to bring the campaign to Abu Dhabi for the first time, signalling the initiative’s expansion and our commitment to engaging communities across the UAE. As 2026 is the Year of Family, creating opportunities for face-to-face interactions with our clients and the wider community is especially poignant. These personal connections help us spark important conversations, inspire collective action and drive lasting behavioural change. Through initiatives like Wheels of Change for World Sustainability Day, we hope to encourage more organisations and individuals to play their part in building a more sustainable future.”
The initiative collected a range of recyclable materials, including paper, cardboard, metal, glass, apparel and plastics, helping turn discarded items into valuable resources.
At Dulsco Environment’s Material Recovery Facility (MRF), suitable dry recyclables are sorted and separated by material type, with recovered materials prepared and, where appropriate, compacted into bales for onward recycling. Through further processing by recycling partners, these materials can re-enter the economy as resources for new products, reducing reliance on virgin materials and supporting a circular economy. Apparel is directed to appropriate reuse or textile-recycling channels.
