Takasago International Corporation, a leading global fragrance and flavour company, has inaugurated a new Creative Centre in Dubai, strengthening its regional operations and reinforcing its commitment to the growing Middle East fragrance industry.
The new facility is designed to serve as a centre for fragrance development, bringing together creative expertise, advanced laboratories and technical capabilities. It will enable Takasago to work more closely with regional customers and partners while developing fragrances inspired by local cultures, traditions and changing consumer preferences.
Dubai Strengthens Its Position as a Global Innovation Hub
Located within Dubai Science Park, part of TECOM Group, the Creative Centre reflects Dubai’s growing importance as a destination for international companies seeking to expand their research, development and innovation activities.
Marwan Abdulaziz Janahi, Senior Vice President of Dubai Science Park, welcomed the investment, highlighting the emirate’s supportive business environment and specialised infrastructure.
“Takasago’s new Creative Centre in Dubai reflects the emirate’s position as a global hub for business and innovation,” Janahi said.
He added that Dubai Science Park continues to support companies looking to expand into regional and international markets, contributing to the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.
Meeting Growing Demand in the Middle East Fragrance Market
The opening comes as the Middle East continues to play an increasingly influential role in the global fragrance industry, with regional preferences and traditional perfumery practices shaping international fragrance development.
Bassel Kouchacji, Managing Director Fragrance Middle East at Takasago, emphasised the region’s growing creative influence.
“The Middle East is no longer simply one of the fastest-growing fragrance markets in the world. It has become one of perfumery’s most powerful creative forces,” Kouchacji said.
He described the new Dubai facility as a reflection of Takasago’s long-term commitment to strengthening its presence and creative capabilities across the region.
Takasago first established operations in Dubai in 2015 and has steadily expanded its presence in the Middle East over the past decade. The new centre will allow the company to respond more effectively to local market requirements while creating fragrances with appeal beyond regional boundaries.
Connecting Dubai With Takasago’s Global Research Network
Founded in Japan in 1920, Takasago operates through subsidiaries in 28 countries. Its latest investment in Dubai will further integrate the Middle East into the company’s international research and innovation network.
The Creative Centre will collaborate with Takasago’s global teams of perfumers, fragrance evaluators, scientists and technical specialists, encouraging knowledge exchange and supporting the development of new fragrance concepts.
The facility is expected to strengthen cooperation between regional customers and international experts, combining global research capabilities with insights into Middle Eastern fragrance preferences.
The inauguration coincided with Beautyworld Dubai 2026, where Takasago showcased its latest creative direction by introducing 13 new fragrances.
The launch marks another step in the company’s regional expansion and highlights Dubai’s growing role as a centre for fragrance innovation, research and international business collaboration.
