Abu Dhabi authorities have announced a temporary restriction on heavy vehicles and labour transport buses on Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street this weekend to ease traffic movement and improve road safety.
The Integrated Transport Centre, through its Abu Dhabi Mobility division, said the restriction will be in place on Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 3am to 10am.
During the specified hours, heavy goods vehicles and buses transporting workers will not be allowed to enter or use Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street. Motorists affected by the measure have been advised to plan their journeys in advance and use alternative routes.
Abu Dhabi Mobility called on all drivers to adhere to the instructions, stressing that cooperation will help ensure smoother traffic flow and reduce congestion during the early morning period.
The authority clarified that the restriction is temporary and part of routine traffic management efforts on one of the capital’s main arterial roads.
