AGMC BMW Celebrates 50 Years with Dubai Debut of the All-New BMW iX3 at the Museum of the Future

AGMC BMW, the official importer of BMW in Dubai, Sharjah and the Northern Emirates, celebrated today its 50-year partnership with BMW by unveiling the all-new BMW iX3 at an exclusive customer event held at Dubai’s Museum of the Future. As the first production model built on BMW’s revolutionary Neue Klasse architecture, the BMW iX3 marks the beginning of a new era for the brand while representing another milestone in AGMC BMW’s five decades of delivering premium mobility to customers across Dubai and the Northern Emirates.

The name is intentional: in 1962, the original Neue Klasse defined the modern sports sedan and shaped BMW’s identity for the next six decades. Today, the all-new BMW iX3, a fully electric Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV), opens a new chapter of Sheer Driving Pleasure with a distinctive new design language that reflects the technological progress of the Neue Klasse.

Built on sixth-generation BMW eDrive technology, the iX3 offers up to approximately 805 km of range (WLTP) and a peak charging rate of 400 kW, roughly ten minutes of charging is enough for a further 300–370 km.

A new electronic architecture built around four high-performance “superbrain” computers processes data up to 20 times faster than before, while the all-new BMW Panoramic iDrive projects key information across the base of the windscreen for every occupant.

Dr Hamid Haqparwar, Managing Director of AGMC, said: “For 50 years, AGMC BMW has proudly represented one of the world’s most iconic automotive brands across Dubai and the Northern Emirates and there could be no better way to celebrate this milestone than by introducing the all-new BMW iX3. The Neue Klasse represents the future of BMW, redefining electric mobility and digital innovation. Unveiling this remarkable vehicle at the Museum of the Future was a fitting way to celebrate both our shared heritage and the exciting journey that lies ahead.”

Sustainability is engineered in rather than added on: the iX3 is made up of around one-third secondary (recycled) materials, part of BMW’s circular-design approach across the vehicle’s life cycle. On the road, the new “Heart of Joy” control unit and BMW Symbiotic Drive bring more than a century of driving-dynamics expertise into the electric era.

The Heart of Joy looks after drivetrain and driving dynamics management. This high-performance control unit is responsible for the drivetrain, brakes, energy recuperation and steering subfunctions, and processes information up to ten times faster than conventional control units. In this way, the potential of electric mobility in terms of instantaneous power delivery, smooth power transfer, agility, stability and efficiency is utilised to the full.

Together with the BMW Dynamic Performance Control software stack developed fully in-house, the Heart of Joy calculates all the driving dynamics parameters with a new level of speed and precision. Here, the decades of experience of BMW in the field of driving dynamics control come to the fore. The driver and passengers in the new BMW iX3 experience a uniquely harmonious and BMW-typical driving feeling whatever the situation and speed. Every movement of the accelerator, brake pedal and steering is executed directly and with assurance and precision. Supreme traction and – thanks to the unique Soft Stop function – the smoothest stopping process ever achieved by a BMW are among its other attributes. In addition, the efficiency of the new BMW iX3 is optimised by the integrated management of drivetrain, braking system and energy recuperation. In everyday driving, 98 per cent of braking manoeuvres are carried out using recuperation only, i.e. without application of the friction brakes.

The BMW iX3 is the first of nearly 40 new and updated BMW models arriving by 2027, all benefiting from Neue Klasse design, technology and dynamics. For AGMC BMW, the introduction of the iX3 not only marks the beginning of BMW’s next generation of vehicles, but also the next chapter in its long-standing partnership with customers across Dubai and the Northern Emirates.
