Air Arabia has announced the launch of daily non-stop flights between Sharjah and Düsseldorf, further expanding its network in Germany and strengthening air connectivity between the UAE and Europe.

The new service will begin on 16 December 2026, making Düsseldorf the airline’s third German destination from Sharjah after Munich and Frankfurt.

The route will be operated using Air Arabia’s Airbus A320neo aircraft, offering passengers a modern cabin experience while supporting improved fuel efficiency and operational performance.

Adel Al Ali, Group Chief Executive Officer of Air Arabia, said the launch represents another important step in the airline’s continued expansion across Europe.

He said the addition of Düsseldorf gives passengers more choice and convenience while strengthening direct connections between the UAE and Germany. Air Arabia will continue focusing on expanding its network while providing affordable and reliable travel options, he added.

The new service is also expected to improve travel opportunities for passengers from Düsseldorf and the wider North Rhine-Westphalia region.

Lars Redeligx, CEO of Düsseldorf Airport, welcomed the announcement, noting that links with the Middle East and Gulf region have long played an important role in the airport’s international network.

He said the daily Sharjah service will further strengthen these connections and provide travellers from western Germany and neighbouring areas of the Netherlands with access to Air Arabia’s broader network.

Through its Sharjah hub, passengers will be able to connect to destinations across the Middle East, South Asia and Southeast Asia, expanding travel options for both leisure and business travellers.

The addition of Düsseldorf reflects Air Arabia’s broader strategy to increase its presence in key European markets while strengthening Sharjah’s position as an international aviation hub.
