The ‘Andalusia: History and Civilization’ Initiative Committee organized the Andalusian Stanzas Night titled ‘Ya Zaman Al Wasl bil Andalusi’ at the esteemed Emirates Palace Auditorium on Sunday, November 12, 2023. This captivating event, a key component of the initiative’s comprehensive art program, showcased a mesmerizing collection of the most renowned Andalusian stanzas.
The Andalusian Orchestra was held in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Anwar Gargash, Diplomatic Adviser to the UAE President; His Excellency Mohammed Ahmed Al Murr, Chairman of ‘Andalusia: History and Civilization’ Initiative Committee; and Dr. Abdullah Maghribi, Under-Secretary for Studies and Research Sector at Ministry of Presidential Affairs, in addition to a diverse group of Andalusian arts audiences.
The concert featured a large music band, comprising 65 vocalists and musicians, which was directed by Maestro Ghada Harb. The audience was treated to an enchanting evening that celebrated the rich cultural heritage of Andalusia through its distinctive and soul-stirring stanzas.
His Excellency Mohammed Al Murr, Chairman of the ‘Andalusia: History and Civilization’ Initiative Committee, expressed his delight at the resounding success of the ‘Ya Zaman Al Wasl bil Andalusi’ night. “The event holds significance as it provides a platform for the exquisite Andalusian stanzas to showcase their unique artistry within the context of Andalusian culture. The ‘Andalusia: History and Civilization’ is a pioneering large-scale initiative aimed at strengthening relations between the UAE and Spain. It also seeks to familiarize the public with the rich history and civilization of Andalusia through a diverse program of artistic and cultural seminars, as well as events that vividly reflect the essence of Andalusian heritage.
