BotGuard OÜ to showcase cutting-edge cybersecurity at GITEX Global 2024

With real-time website testing

BotGuard OÜ, a global cybersecurity company headquartered in Tallinn, Estonia, will showcase its innovative cybersecurity solutions focused on adequate bot protection at GITEX Global 2024, which will take place from October 14 to 18 at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC).

BotGuard’s presentation at the upcoming tech show will comprise live demonstrations illustrating the ease and efficiency of the company’s technology in protecting websites against malicious bot attacks.

Bertil Brendeke, Chief Revenue Officer of BotGuard OÜ, said: “Our participation in GITEX Global 2024 underscores our commitment to addressing the escalating malicious bot attacks organisations worldwide face. We aim to engage with industry leaders and share our expertise in fortifying defences.”

New statistics reveal that 17% of API attacks in 2023 involved bad bots exploiting vulnerabilities, highlighting the need for reliable security measures. In this context, BotGuard’s cybersecurity solutions cater to businesses of all sizes, offering cloud software ideal for small enterprises and tailored on-premises services for larger hosting companies.

APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) are vital to digital transformation strategies, and securing them is a top challenge. APIs are a rapidly growing attack surface that developers and application security managers can overlook.

BotGuard provides web admins and site owners an intuitive and dependable tool to control site access. Just as individuals have the right to protect their homes from intruders—a principle once embodied in the ‘Castle Doctrine’—digital asset custodians also have the right to safeguard their online spaces.

Brendeke says: “While we may no longer live in castles, our homes and businesses still need protection from threats. The essence of the ‘Castle Doctrine’ is to ensure safety without compromising freedom, and this principle guides our efforts in enhancing web security.”

During GITEX Global 2024, attendees visiting the BotGuard stand (H25-21) in Hall 25 of DWTC can test their websites’ safety from bot attacks. In such a scenario, BotGuard will deploy a simple scanner to emulate five typical ‘bad bot’ requests sent to the website being tested, with primary results provided in less than a minute.
