The BRICS Business Forum has opened in New Delhi, bringing together senior government officials, business leaders, financial institutions, startups and representatives from BRICS member and partner countries to explore new opportunities for economic cooperation.

Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, Chairman of Dubai Chambers, is taking part in the forum as part of the UAE delegation, highlighting the country’s growing engagement with BRICS economies and its role as a major hub for global trade, investment and logistics.

The forum is focused on strengthening cooperation across several key areas, including trade, investment, supply chains, agriculture, services, digital transformation and innovation. Discussions are also centred on developing practical partnerships that can improve connectivity and integration across BRICS economies.

Five main panel discussions form the core of the event. The first, titled “Strengthening Trade and Supply Chains in BRICS,” examines ways to increase trade by addressing logistical and regulatory barriers while developing more resilient supply chains across member countries.

A second session on agriculture and food security explores opportunities for greater cooperation in agricultural trade, food supply chains, technology and innovation, with participants discussing ways to improve long-term food security across BRICS markets.

The forum is also examining opportunities to expand trade in services. A dedicated panel on intra-BRICS services trade is exploring new pathways for growth, stronger cooperation and improved market access among participating economies.

Women’s participation in business is another major focus of the event. Discussions are looking at ways to strengthen cross-border partnerships led by women and improve access to finance, digital platforms and international markets for women-owned businesses.

The final major panel focuses on the digital economy and innovation, highlighting the growing importance of technology, digital transformation and emerging solutions in supporting productivity, economic growth and deeper integration among BRICS economies.

The UAE is represented at the forum by national institutions and companies operating across trade, industry, technology and transport. Their participation reflects the country’s position as a strategic commercial and logistics gateway linking BRICS economies with regional and international markets.

The BRICS Women’s Business Alliance is also playing an important role during the forum, with discussions aimed at integrating more women-led enterprises into trade and investment networks across member countries.

The UAE’s participation in the alliance highlights the contribution of Emirati women to international economic cooperation, particularly in sectors such as finance, technology, tourism, the creative economy and food security.

Through its participation in the BRICS Business Forum, the UAE continues to strengthen its economic ties with BRICS countries while supporting efforts to build more inclusive, innovative and sustainable trade and investment partnerships.
