Calidus Holding Group has showcased a range of newly developed defence systems for the first time during its participation in the seventh edition of UMEX and SimTEX 2026.

The UAE-based defence and manufacturing group presented advanced vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) unmanned aircraft designed for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions, alongside unmanned air platforms capable of supporting logistics and transport operations.

Among the key highlights is the Cobra unmanned ground vehicle, a highly mobile platform engineered to counter both aerial and ground threats. The system can be equipped with air-defence and anti-armour missiles, a radar unit and an electro-optical suite that enables detection, tracking, identification and engagement of targets. The vehicle is also adaptable for a broad range of operational and logistical roles.

Calidus is also showcasing its “Spider Net” system, which is integrated into vehicles to provide protection against unmanned aerial threats, particularly loitering munitions.

In parallel, the Group is highlighting its advances in manufacturing technologies for producing sub-components, assemblies and precision parts. This capability supports Calidus’s strategy to strengthen self-sufficiency across its land, air and missile production lines, while enhancing supply-chain resilience and long-term sustainability in maintenance, technical support and logistics.

Several flagship platforms are also on display, including the B-100 aircraft, the AlDeraa integrated counter-UAS air-defence system, and the MCAV multi-mission combat vehicle equipped with the Spider Net solution.

Through its participation, Calidus aims to demonstrate solutions aligned with the evolving demands of modern defence missions, with a strong focus on platform integration, operational readiness and advanced engineering and manufacturing standards.

During the event, the Group is holding meetings with local and international partners and end-users to explore industrial cooperation and partnership opportunities. These efforts support broader priorities around technology localisation, knowledge transfer, strengthening local content and developing national talent, contributing to a more integrated and competitive defence manufacturing ecosystem in the UAE and beyond.
