Christmas activities begin at Munich Airport on November 17

Winter Market continues until December 31

The Christmas and Winter Market will open its doors at the Munich Airport Center (MAC) Forum, on November 17, 2023.

Passengers travelling through Munich Airport can enjoy the festively decorated market and get into the Christmas spirit every day from 11am to 9pm until December 31, 2023. The market will close at 4pm on Christmas Eve.

With more than 40 stalls offering various handicrafts, fashion, jewellery, food and drinks, the market is the ideal place to find Christmas gifts, enjoy a glass of mulled wine and sample some culinary delights.

The ice skating and curling rinks are open every day from 11am to 9pm. Skates can be rented at the rink. The curling rink can be booked in advance via the airport website.

Numerous free events at Munich Airport include ice discos, ice sculpting, Advent wreathmaking, puppet theatre shows and, a visit by Santa Claus.

Various bands will perform on stage between 5 to 8pm every day, offering up musical entertainment from the worlds of pop, rock, funk, soul, gospel, folk, jazz and country.

The popular winter light tours will return to Munich airport from November 17 to December 30, 2023.

Lasting for 50 minutes, the tours will give visitors the opportunity to look behind the scenes of the brightly lit airport.

The meeting point for the tours is the Sportalm hut at the Christmas and Winter Market, which is also where any remaining tickets can be purchased on the day.

Visitors to the Christmas and Winter Market can use a special QR code to get three hours’ free parking at the P20 parking garage. The QR code can be found on the Christmas and Winter Market flyer and the airport website.
