Crescent Enterprises, the leading multinational diversified business headquartered in the UAE, has received the Impact Seal, Gold Tier from Majra, the UAE’s national corporate social responsibility (CSR) fund, as part of the 2025 to 2027 Impact Seal cycle, in recognition of its sustained commitment to responsible business and measurable impact.
The recognition was announced alongside the launch of the UAE Companies for Good 2031 Strategy at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi. The strategy provides a national framework to strengthen private sector contribution to sustainable impact, advance the impact economy and support the competitiveness of the UAE’s corporate responsibility ecosystem. The Impact Seal is the UAE’s highest federal recognition for organisations demonstrating outstanding and sustainable social impact. Issued by Majra – National CSR Fund, it recognises companies that apply strong practices across environmental, social and governance priorities, contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals and demonstrate measurable impact aligned with the UAE’s long-term national priorities.
Tushar Singhvi, Deputy CEO and Head of Investments at Crescent Enterprises, said: “We are honoured to receive the Majra Impact Seal, particularly at a moment when the UAE is setting a clear national direction for companies to become more active partners in sustainable development. At Crescent Enterprises, responsible business is not measured by intent alone, but by the discipline of governance, the quality of partnerships, and the outcomes created for people and communities. This recognition reflects the rigour our teams and partners have applied over many years to measuring, improving, and scaling impact, and it strengthens our commitment to supporting the UAE’s long-term priorities by building value that is both commercial and societal.”
Sarah Shaw, Chief Executive Officer of Majra – National CSR Fund, said, “The Impact Seal reflects the UAE’s commitment to recognising organisations that embed Corporate Social Responsibility into their institutional strategies while empowering the private sector to become an active partner in driving sustainable development and delivering Credible and Measurable Impact.”
In 2025, Crescent Enterprises advanced its corporate citizenship priorities through partnerships across innovation, employability, cultural exchange, and governance. The company launched the inaugural Crescent Enterprises ‘AI for Social Innovation’ Prize with MIT Solve on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly and Climate Week in New York, awarding equity-free funding to four Solver teams whose ventures collectively reach more than 800,000 lives, and co-hosted the first MIT Challenge Clinic in Arabic to expand access for regional entrepreneurs.
As a founding partner of Sheraa, the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Centre, the company continued to support its social entrepreneurship track for early-stage founders across the UAE and the wider region. Through the Renaissance Partners Program with Majarra, Crescent Enterprises’ support has now reached more than 13,000 young people across the Arab region with free access to high-quality Arabic digital knowledge.
Long-standing commitments in culture and governance continued through the Platinum Partnership of the Sharjah International Film Festival for Children and Youth, support for the Arabian Sights Film Festival in Washington, DC, the leading showcase of Arab cinema in the United States, and the company’s role as a founding partner of the Pearl Initiative, the Gulf region’s leading platform for corporate governance, accountability, and transparency. Overall, the company’s corporate citizenship activities reached 50,188 beneficiaries in the latest reporting year, reflecting a 38% year-on-year increase.
This work is rooted in a long-standing commitment to structured reporting and continuous improvement. Crescent Enterprises has voluntarily reported on its environmental and social performance since 2013, demonstrating a sustained emphasis on accountability, transparency and measurable outcomes.
