Deadline Looms For Aspiring MENA & Turkish Filmmakers
Doha, Qatar – July 6, 2023: Aspiring filmmakers from across the Middle East, North Africa and Turkey have just 10 days left to submit entries for the landmark TOD Summer Short Film Festival Competition.
The TOD Summer Short Film Festival by TOD, the region’s leading sports and entertainment streaming platform, is designed to celebrate upcoming filmmaking talent. Winning short films from regional movie makers and students affiliated to filmmaking universities and institutes will be streamed on TOD during the two-month festival which begins next month giving them prominent exposure on the platform and via a dedicated marketing campaign.
John Paul McKerlie, VP of Marketing and Sales at TOD, said, “The competition is in line with our desire to promote regional talent and nurture its promising creative possibilities. While short films may not enjoy the longevity or widespread recognition of feature films, they offer a treasure trove of creativity and storytelling, especially those created by budding and upcoming filmmakers from the Arab region..
“The TOD Summer Short Film Festival is a great opportunity for MENA and Turkey-based talent to showcase their work and potential, boost their film-making credentials, gain recognition, and share their unique perspectives with a MENA-wide audience.”
