Is eating or drinking allowed in the Dubai Metro 

Like almost all metro services all over the globe, eating and drinking are prohibited in the Dubai Metro. Passengers may eat or drink in the stations connecting the metro. However, this is not allowed in the metro trains and violators would be exposed to a fine of Dhs100. 

Is there a fine in Dubai Metro for placing feet on the seats?

All passengers would love to have a nice and comfortable experience while riding the Dubai Metro. While it would make one feels more comfortable putting his feet on the seat in front of him, it would make the seat dirty for another passenger that comes after you. A fine of Dhs100 is due when a passenger puts his or her feet on the seats of the metro. 

Are animals allowed in the Dubai Metro?

It’s completely prohibited to bring animals inside the Dubai Metro. There is a fine of Dhs100 for any passenger that brings animals inside the metro. The only exception is for dogs that serve as a guide for blind individuals and these are allowed inside the metro.

Is there a fine for opening the doors of the train by force in the Dubai Metro? 

If a passenger tries to enter or leave the metro train while it’s commuting from one station to the other, this is considered a violation of the law and causes the payment of a Dhs100. This is considered quite an unsafe procedure to carry out that would endanger the whole train and passengers around you.

Is smoking allowed inside the Dubai Metro?

Like almost all metro services in different regions around the world, smoking is prohibited inside the Dubai Metro. The fine for smoking is set at Dhs200.

Can I carry alcohol inside the Dubai Metro?

This is one of the most refrained actions in the Dubai Metro, perhaps with the highest fines that would reach Dhs500, if a passenger carries alcohol with him or her inside the metro.

There are several emergency buttons placed inside the stations and inside the trains. If a passenger uses these buttons in anything other than real emergency cases, this is considered a severe violation with a fine of Dhs2,000 imposed on anyone who carries out this action. 

Can I sleep inside the Dubai Metro?

Sleeping is completely prohibited in any station or metro trains of the Dubai Metro, or any other places where sleeping is refrained. This would impose a fine of Dhs300. While sleeping is allowed in some metro services in some countries around the world, it is totally not allowed in the Dubai Metro.
