Emaar Properties completes design stage of ‘Dubai Square’

Mega project is located in Dubai Creek Harbour district

Emaar Properties, the Dubai-headquartered mega real estate development company, has finalised the detailed design of ‘Dubai Square,’ a residential, hospitality, and retail city in the Dubai Creek Harbour district.

Scheduled to be completed by 2027, the mega project will comprise 10,000+ residential units, 1,400+ hotel rooms, and a 7,500 sqm retail district, rivalling Dubai Mall.

Dubai Square will feature groundbreaking technologies and innovative retail, dining, and entertainment concepts, promising an unmatched experience transcending conventional shopping environments.

Characterised by advanced technologies and contemporary design, Dubai Square will be linked to the new Dubai Creek Tower. The concurrent construction of the shopping centre and tower incorporates the latest building and design innovations, reflecting Emaar’s extensive experience and knowledge in the sector.

Long experience

Mohamed Alabbar, founder of Emaar Properties, stated: “After 15 years of catering to 100 million visitors annually and over 1,500 retailers, Emaar has a wealth of knowledge. We can replicate this success with the new project while seeking retailers’ advice as we progress.”

He added: “Despite AI being a new science in design, Emaar is implementing advanced AI systems to analyse and predict the future needs of retailers and visitors.”

Dubai Square will feature pedestrian-friendly streets spanning 7.4 million sqm of residential space and 500,000 sqm of gardens and open areas.

The project integrates retail stores, commercial ventures, entertainment, and leisure destinations, including the Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary. The project will connect to Dubai Creek Tower and Dubai Creek Plaza through an underground extension.

Dubai Square’s next-generation entertainment offering will feature live shows at the futuristic Grand Plaza, an art district, a technologically enhanced Ice Adventure, and a rooftop waterpark.

Situated 10 minutes from Downtown Dubai and Dubai International Airport, Dubai Square will become the closest retail destination for the 75 million passengers transiting through the airport annually.

In collaboration with Dubai’s Roads & Transport Authority, Emaar plans to build a metro link from the Dubai International Airport terminal to Dubai Square’s Grand Central Station.
