Emirates offers its passengers Christmas cheer this December
Festive meals and snacks are provided on select routes
Emirates, the Dubai-based supercarrier, is making this festive season a memorable experience for its passengers around the globe.
The airline is turning December into a month-long festive celebration, offering a touch of Christmas to its passengers flying throughout the festive season. Traditional treats and seasonal delights will be available in the airline’s international lounges and aboard flights.
Emirates lounges at Dubai International Airport (Terminal 3) are transforming into winter wonderlands, where passengers can savour festive fare before take-off. First and Business Class lounges are set to serve mouthwatering roasted turkey breast, complemented by cranberry sauce, glazed chestnuts, Brussels sprouts, and delectable new potatoes.
The festive spread includes winter desserts such as traditional stollen, mince pies, red currant cheesecake, and cinnamon profiteroles. Business Class lounges will feature tempting desserts, including sour cherry confit and spiced citrus mandarin confit cake.
Travellers can warm up with festive beverages, including gingerbread lattes, toffee nut mochas, and Christmas-themed cocktails. The lounges will also offer a variety of holiday treats, from apple pie and gingerbread ice cream to Christmas-themed chocolates.
Festive eats
Emirates will serve festive meals and snacks throughout December in all cabins on select routes.
First, Business and Premium Economy Class customers can enjoy a selection of classic Christmas dishes, including lemon and herb-marinated king prawns and cured salmon gravadlax with ginger. An entire festive main course with all the trimmings will be available in all classes, featuring roasted turkey, glazed chestnuts, braised red cabbage, and more. Desserts include Christmas pudding, white chocolate cake, and spiced cranberry cake.
First and Business Class passengers will be treated to special welcome drinks, miniature Santa Claus desserts, and festive hot chocolate. From December 24-26, passengers across all classes will receive mini gifts of pistachio and raspberry profiteroles, dark chocolate truffles, and gingerbread cookies.
The airline will extend its festive offerings to flights from Russia, Egypt, and Ethiopia to Dubai, celebrating Orthodox Christmas from December 20 to January 8.
First Class customers will enjoy a special menu featuring salmon gravadlax, roasted duck, and classic Christmas desserts. Business Class and Economy Class passengers will also have a festive culinary experience with various starters, main courses, and desserts.
Emirates is ensuring passengers stay entertained with 39 holiday season movies on its inflight entertainment system. The lineup includes new releases and timeless classics for all audiences.
Additionally, EmiratesRED is launching a four-day sale from December 15-18, 2023, offering passengers 15% off on purchases over AED552 (AED150). The sale includes new luxury products like Creed Carmina, Loewe Esencia, Seiko Sport Automatic Watch, Luminox Leatherback Watch, and skincare products like La Mer’s The Moisturizing Cream.
Donations sought
Emirates is encouraging passengers to embrace the spirit of giving by supporting the Emirates Airline Foundation, dedicated to improving the lives of underprivileged children.
Passengers can donate in any currency on any flight, using envelopes in seat pockets or via credit card, cheque, or bank transfer.
Skywards Miles can also be donated, with 95% of contributions directly assisting needy children.
