Emirati Astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi Inspires Repton Al Barsha Students About Space Exploration

Dubai, March 2023: Repton Al Barsha students attended an inspirational live video session with Emirati astronaut, Sultan Al Neyadi, at the Dubai Opera in a collaborative initiative between Emirates Literature Festival and Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Center on 21 March 2023.

During the live interactive session, Reptonians from Year 10, studying the Triple Science GCSE subjects, and Year 9 students aspiring to pursue the same, were invited to inquire into Al Neyadi’s life in space; currently stationed at the International Space Station (ISS) on a six-month mission. The Emirati astronaut shared insights about life in space, tackling key challenges faced in space exploration. From consuming food in space to sleeping in a gravity void, and exercise routines, Al Neyadi’s shared his thoughts on his experience since his launch into space earlier this month.

Left with an impactful impression, Reptonians were inspired by Al Neyadi’s accomplishments and moved by his ability to adapt to unfamiliar conditions in a very short period.

Reptonian Miral Sayes said, “A once-in-a-lifetime experience, it helped me understand that you can do anything if you put your mind to it”. Faris Ardakani added, “Brings new perspectives to a career that might not be too ambitious.  Shows that dreams really can come true”.
