Dubai, UAE — July 2026 — Etihad Airways and FastJet Zimbabwe signed a memorandum of understanding in Harare on to establish a new interline partnership, alongside a codeshare agreement and a frequent flyer loyalty program agreement.

According to the Emirates News Agency, ticket sales are set to begin on August 24.

The cooperation strengthens air connectivity, allowing travelers to access destinations currently served by both carriers under a single ticket.

Under the agreement, Etihad Airways guests traveling to Harare will be able to continue their journeys on FastJet Zimbabwe flights to Bulawayo, Victoria Falls, and Johannesburg, using a single booking and a single ticket combining both carriers.

The agreement follows Etihad Airways’ launch of direct flights between Abu Dhabi and Harare, starting March 24, 2027, through which the carrier will expand its services beyond the Zimbabwean capital to include Bulawayo and Victoria Falls, offering its guests across its global network a seamless way to reach these destinations.

The agreement also gives travelers on FastJet Zimbabwe flights access to Abu Dhabi and the opportunity to benefit from Etihad’s extensive network covering destinations across the Middle East, Asia, and Europe. FastJet Zimbabwe will become the 32nd partner in the Etihad Guest program.

Arik De, Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer at Etihad Airways, said Africa represents an important part of Etihad’s growth strategy, adding that agreements such as this one with FastJet Zimbabwe are among the means through which the airline is expanding its network and offering guests greater opportunities to explore more destinations across the continent.

Donahue Curtis, Chief Business Officer and Regional Director at FastJet Zimbabwe, said the agreement marks the start of what the companies believe will be a significant partnership, expressing enthusiasm about collaborating with Etihad Airways, one of the world’s leading airlines, to explore opportunities for enhancing air connectivity, expanding travel options for customers, and contributing to strengthening Zimbabwe’s connections with key international markets.

Vivienne Rwaya, Chief Commercial Officer at FastJet, said the partnership opens new horizons for customers in Zimbabwe, noting that travelers departing from Harare can now continue their journeys through Etihad Airways’ global network to Abu Dhabi and destinations across the Middle East, Asia, Europe, and beyond, all under a single ticket.
