The Air Ambulance Division of FAI Aviation Group, FAI Medical Services GmbH (dba FAI Air Ambulance), has been nominated as one of three finalists in the Air Ambulance Company of the Year category of the International Travel & Health Insurance Journal (ITIJ) Awards 2025.  This is the seventh, consecutive time that FAI has been nominated, following three award wins in 2012, 2020 and 2021 respectively.  The winner will be revealed at a prestigious ceremony in Venice, Italy, closing the annual ITIC Global Conference, on the evening of 6th November.

The ITIJ Awards are recognised accolades for the global travel and health insurance industry, rewarding companies that go above and beyond to serve their customers and clients, driving positive change in the industry.  They are judged via a scoring card from an independent panel of judges.

Volker Lemke, Managing Director, FAI Medical Services, said: “We are honoured to be nominated by ITIJ once again. These awards are among the most prestigious a company operating in this sector of the industry can receive.  It underscores our service quality and ability to mobilize quickly in emergency and medical repatriation flights.”

This latest nomination follows FAI’s ‘Most Innovative Air Ambulance Service’ Award win at the Middle East Aviation Business Awards in December 2024. FAI Air Ambulance has completed nearly 800 air ambulance missions over the past 12 months as one of the world’s largest air ambulance jet operators.  Its air ambulance operations comprise a diverse and state-of-the-art, 10-strong Bombardier aircraft fleet (Learjet 60, Challenger 604s and Global Express’), all equipped with advanced medical technology to handle a wide range of medevac missions.
