Flowscape arrives, to transform legacy workplaces in the GCC region

Swedish proptech company exhibits at GITEX Global for the first time

Flowscape – the Stockholm-headquartered global provider of digital workplace and analytics solutions – showed its advanced offerings at GITEX Global, the world’s largest tech and startup event, held at Dubai World Trade Centre from October 16-20, 2023.

With clients in 50+ countries deploying its hybrid workplace assets, Flowscape embraces the concept of modern offices and propagates free movement, flowing communication and total accessibility for employees to work close together.

The proptech company opposes legacy workplaces that are not optimised for many reasons. It believes that spending time searching for meeting rooms, desks, equipment, and work colleagues creates needless frustration among employees, a significant concern for employers.

This frustration translates into decreased productivity, hampered work relations, lower overall well-being, and, as a result, many hidden costs that directly impact employers.

This is where Flowscape comes in; its advanced hardware and software technologies are designed to optimise contemporary offices from the ground up.

Attending his first-ever GITEX Global edition, Peter Reigo, CEO of Flowscape, took time off at the mega in-person tradeshow to talk all things Flowscape.

Excerpts from the interview:

Need for Flowscape, from an employer’s perspective: Flowscape empowers employers to manage and optimise a workplace effectively for enhanced productivity. This involves an intelligent office route that enables a company to create an efficient workplace while optimising space usage and saving energy for the company.

GCC entry: I think it [GCC] is a fascinating region. Many things are happening here; many new technologies are entering the UAE and Saudi Arabia. So, we think it is high time that Flowscape becomes part of the trendsetting journey in the region.

Uniqueness of Flowscape: We have been in the market for quite a long time as we have well-established workplace solutions deployed across Europe. Our interface is very, very easy to use. It is very intuitive. We also have an extensive sales portfolio, which can bring a lot of smartness into the solutions. On the technical side, our solutions have a lot of features that can be fully customised to a customer’s specific needs.

Target customers: Our customer base ranges from small to large enterprises. We service businesses with a few hundred employees, and we also have companies with 100,000 employees that use our workplace solutions. We also serve academic institutions such as schools and universities.

Customers’ data protection: We have been working for a long time to safeguard and protect our customers’ cybersecurity and cyber protection data. We deploy advanced and proven Azure technologies to secure our customers’ digital infrastructure. In this regard, we work extensively with Microsoft and also Accenture.

Government clientele: We work with the government sector in certain countries, including high-security organisations like law enforcement.

Customisation possibilities: All our workplace solutions are very modular, so customers can choose what they need for their employees’ work environment. We have large customers with whom we have a very close relationship and have worked together for many years. Thanks to this long relationship, we identified these longstanding customers’ unique needs and developed bespoke workspace solutions. In a way, these solutions become standard solutions for other customers.

Biggest markets: Our most significant global market is Europe, especially in northern Europe. We have also established in the United States. We are in Australia and New Zealand as well. We focus on Europe, North America, the Middle East and Africa.

Markets after the pandemic: In Europe and North America, it is typically a case of hybrid work, wherein employees come into the office for two to three days a week. In contrast, in the Middle East region, the trend is for employees to work full-time in the office.

Flowscape specialities: In-door positioning, smartphone apps, meeting rooms, activity-based workplaces, workplace management, integrated workplace management software, desk management, flexible working, SaaS, office management, innovative office solutions, and proptech.
