FLYADEAL HOSTS OVER 120 CHILDREN FOR IFTAR IN CAIRO

flyadeal, Saudi Arabia’s fast-growing low-cost airline, has hosted over 120 children for Iftar and an evening of entertainment in Cairo during the Holy Month of Ramadan.

Joining forces with the Resala Charity Organisation, one of Egypt’s largest volunteer-based non-profit bodies supporting individuals and communities, flyadeal’s sales team coordinated the social drive with the airline’s general sales agent in the country, Zekri Tours.

Cairo-based Resala, set up 27 years ago, operates over 60 branches across Egypt offering a wide range of support including orphan care, helping the blind and deaf, children with special needs, blood donations, and empowering the disabled, underprivileged and those in poverty with confidence and life skills.

Mohamed Desouky, flyadeal’s Jeddah-based International Sales Manager, said: “While many companies mark the occasion of Ramadan with corporate hospitality Iftars, at flyadeal we wanted to do something different. Supporting children truly proved a special touch with our colleagues in Egypt working diligently to make the Iftar gathering specially for the young boys and girls a great success.

“flyadeal has been welcomed with open arms by Egypt over the past four years and we continue looking at ways to support local communities as we grow our operations across the country.”

Mahmoud Hammam, flyadeal Country Sales Manager Egypt, added: “The Iftar was flyadeal’s way of giving back to the community. Hosting an Iftar and sharing meals with so many children, seeing their smiles and laughter, gave us a great sense of joy and pleasure. On behalf of flyadeal, I would like to thank Resala for their tremendous support in helping put together a wonderful evening for the youngsters.”

Mohamed Elrawy, Team Leader at Resala Charity Organisation, explained: “This initiative was a fabulous opportunity to bring joy and happiness to the hearts of children and reflects the spirit of cooperation and community participation that Resala always strives to promote. The support of flyadeal, the Saudi national carrier, reflects its humanitarian commitment, and we are proud of our continued partnership in serving children and the wider community here in Egypt.”

Over the past four years, flyadeal has built up its operations between Egypt and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia – two nations which share a strong bond and growing relationship. Egypt is one of flyadeal’s largest international markets with scheduled flights from Cairo to Dammam, Jeddah, Madinah and Riyadh. In addition, flyadeal connects both Alexandria and Assiut with Jeddah, Saudi Arabia’s second largest city on the Red Sea coast.
