Fujifilm has expanded rapidly in the region, doubling its workforce across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Egypt, Morocco, and South Africa over the past five years. The company is preparing to launch its AI-powered NURA screening centres in the Middle East, aimed at improving early disease detection and healthcare outcomes.

Speaking at the inauguration on June 11, 2025, Japan’s ambassador to the UAE, Ken Okaniwa, noted that the investment reflects the strong ties between the UAE and Japan. He added that Fujifilm’s expanded presence could contribute to improvements in healthcare and industrial development across the region.

The newly opened Fujifilm Technology Centre is equipped with Fujifilm’s latest solutions, offering training sessions and live demonstrations. According to Masataka Akiyama, President and CEO of Fujifilm Europe, the Dubai base will also facilitate collaboration with professionals from other regional offices in Egypt and Morocco.

Fujifilm recorded strong financial results in 2024 and expects continued growth in 2025. The new headquarters are expected to play a role in maintaining that performance, particularly through closer engagement with local and regional stakeholders.
