Tickets are still on sale for the ultimate gamers event, part of the Dubai Esports and Games Festival (DEF) 2024 organised by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE).

Here are some of the live gaming tournaments that fans will not want to miss at the GameExpo…

Dubai Cosplay Championship at GameExpo

3 and 4 May

Dubai World Trade Centre, Zabeel Halls 5 and 6

On 3 May, the Cosplay Catwalk calls fans to showcase their single or group costumes and wow judges including @gibmesoju, @m7cosplay, and @sayocoser.

On 4 May, the Dubai Cosplay Championship will crown three winners across each of the three categories: Kids, Craft, and Performance, judged by @pufacosplay, @shadowhart.cosplay, and @dreamcherries.cosplay. Winners can take home cash prizes worth AED 5,000; while two runners-up will be awarded AED 1,500 and AED 1,000. Registration is still open through the DEF website.

Accessibility Arcade at GameExpo

3 May

Dubai World Trade Centre, Zabeel Halls 5 and 6

On 3 May, students of determination can attend the Accessibility Arcade at GameExpo for a reduced sensory experience. Activities and new game releases will be available on disability-friendly consoles, supported by onsite specialist staff.

Play Beyond at GameExpo

4 and 5 May

Dubai World Trade Centre, Zabeel Halls 5 and 6

Fans can watch gaming legends battle it out at the DEF Play Beyond tournament on 4 and 5 May, featuring regional and global esports stars @aboflah, @banderitax, @shongxbong, @jash_dhoka, and @jain_ritik, as well as leading gaming creators from Red Bull. Fans can meet the gaming pros on Saturday or Sunday as part of VIP ticket experience starting from AED 359. VIP tickets include priority seating, access to GameExpo across the three-day event, customised merchandise, and an AED 100 food and beverage voucher.

COMICAVE™ Pop-Culture Experience

3 – 5 May

The COMICAVE™ pop-culture experience at GameExpo promises special showcases, comic book releases, live drawing sessions by famed international artists, artwork launches, robot demos, competitions, workshops, and lots more. On 4 May, fans can also celebrate the global Star Wars Day and witness the launch of an all-new, limited edition Mandalorian-inspired designer toy.

3 – 5 May

talabat’s interactive booth at GameExpo offers fans the chance to go head-to-head in a League of Legends tournament, in partnership with Riot Games. Visitors can also recharge at the talabat lounge and an F&B zone, or win big with exciting online and in-person competitions.
