Apple has officially unveiled its highly anticipated iPhone 17 lineup, introducing four new models that continue to push the boundaries of the company’s flagship smartphone. Among the highlights is the iPhone Air, billed as Apple’s thinnest device to date.
As with previous launches, the latest iPhones arrive with enhanced cameras, extended battery life, and improved performance. Powered by the new A19 chip, the devices promise smoother functionality and stronger support for Apple’s growing suite of artificial intelligence (AI) features.
What’s New in iPhone 17?
The front camera across the iPhone 17 range has been upgraded with a wider field of view and a new sensor, enabling users to capture landscape selfies without rotating the phone. The iPhone Air also introduces the ability to record videos simultaneously with both front and rear cameras.
For photography enthusiasts, the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max models feature an enhanced telephoto lens, offering sharper zoom capabilities. Apple has also emphasized that the iPhone Air is its most power-efficient smartphone yet, with notable improvements in battery life across the lineup.
AI Enhancements
Last year’s iPhone generation marked Apple’s first major leap into AI integration. While the iPhone 17 does not bring the same scale of innovation, each model will run on iOS 26, which introduces incremental upgrades in AI-driven features, refining user experience and personalization.
Storage and Colors
Apple has doubled its entry-level storage, with the iPhone 17 starting at 256GB, alongside a 512GB option. Customers can choose from five colors: black, lavender, mist blue, sage, and white.
The Pro and Pro Max models debut in striking new finishes: deep blue, cosmic orange, and silver.
UAE Release Dates
Pre-orders for the iPhone 17 lineup will open in the UAE on Friday, September 12, with official availability starting Friday, September 19.
