The tides have shifted at Palm West Beach as Dubai welcomes Magadan, Russia’s spectacular seafood restaurant, bringing with it a vibrant spirit, bold flavours, and the electric atmosphere that made it a sensation across 15 locations in Russia.
First launched in 2018 as a collaboration between hospitality giants Pinskiy & Co. and Novikov Group, Magadan is now setting the tone for seafood dining in Dubai. With its signature blend of top-tier seafood and high-energy nightlife, Magadan creates a dining experience that’s anything but ordinary. It’s the kind of place where great food, music, and atmosphere all come together under one roof.
Bringing the spirit of its flagship restaurant in Moscow to Dubai, Magadan’s interiors are inspired by the northern seas, capturing the feeling of distant maritime journeys. The space strikes a balance between sophistication and warmth, with towering columns that evoke ships returning from long voyages and light wood finishes that echo the comfort of a cabin. Signature green tones appear throughout – from the bar counter to the summer terrace – adding a fresh, distinctive touch. Crisp white tablecloths and plush seating in soft, elegant tones complete the scene, creating an atmosphere that invites guests to relax, celebrate, and savour the experience.
The menu blends signature Russian seafood specialties and locally inspired dishes exclusive to Dubai, including fresh Omani lobster served in multiple styles and a brand-new breakfast offering – a first for Magadan. Seafood remains at the heart of the experience, with crabs, signature Magadan shrimps, and impeccably prepared First phalanx on ice, alongside a must-try selection of sushi and rolls. Even the dessert menu surprises with a playful edible Cheburashka – a nod to a beloved Soviet cartoon.
Complementing the seafood is a daring cocktail list that’s just as expressive. Bold in flavour and crafted with flair, each drink is designed to match the pace of the evening – whether it’s a laid-back sunset sip or the start of something more electric.
“Opening in Dubai has allowed us to reimagine Magadan through a new lens. We’ve introduced regionally inspired ingredients while staying true to the spirit of our original concept. The focus is always on quality, creativity, and ensuring every guest leaves with a memorable experience – whether they join us for breakfast, dinner, or an evening of celebration.” says, Head Chef Dmitriy Yakovlev.
As the sun sets, Magadan comes alive with resident DJs, themed nights, and high-energy performances, transforming the space into one of Dubai’s most exciting new hotspots.
Magadan is now open at Palm West Beach, inviting guests to dive into a world where great food, bold drinks, and unforgettable nights come together.
